World Financial Crisis

14th October 2008

I don’t know about you… but I haven’t been giving any of my attention to what’s happening in the states with all of the financial crisis. It’s not something that really interests me, nor does it affect me directly, so I choose not to give it my attention.

Some friends did inform me about it though. However, I was a day or so behind all of the breaking news.

I just came across this great video from Abraham Hicks discussing the financial crisis. This was recorded on October 7th, 2008.

She is so right. Switch off the TV and don’t watch the news. Quite apart from it being propoganda, all you hear is the newscasters blowing everything out of proportion and talking doom and gloom. People love to be victims instead of taking charge of their own lives.

Tim Ferris mentioned this tip in his book and I agree with it - choose your own information diet wisely. We can easily do that with the internet. Don’t watch the news or read newspapers as there is a disproportionately large amount of “bad” news on there.

Loved it. Something that all of us need to hear right now. Thanks Gary.

    Great mantra too…
“It is better. It is getting better. And it is going to be alright.”

    Cheers, Thea

    Hi Gary…

Thanks for showing us this video… however you feel about the Abraham-Hicks phenomena, you cannot help but be inspired by the messages. We need to just get on and do and not get caught up in the onslaught of negative messages. We’re each responsible for our well-being — that was so beautifully put in the video!

    Warmly
    Jeanne

N is for negative, news reports and not –all apart of that which we know is of low energy and brings us down instead of that feeling of joy and rising to the top.

Beautifully conveyed and a message that would cause a lot less anxious people in this world if followed and properly absorbed. Anxiety and stress being the 21st century plague more of these feel good messages are needed to comfort and reassure that all is really going to be OK.

Isn’t that funny? I felt inspired to put a very similar message on my blog yesterday…to remind everyone that we get what we FOCUS ON. So true and so very timely!

Glad we are on the same page, Gary, and I’m not surprised. :) I do hope you are enjoying Costa Rica.

    Take care,

    Shauna

P.S. I just wanted to add that it really is all about attitude…I have been watching CNBC closely (as I always do), but not becasue of any fear-mongering or panic. I’m watching to ensure I understand where the opportunities to make money are - and there are plenty!

This was refreshing and a great reminder that we can choose what we bring into our experience. I noticed one of the related videos as well. Joe Simmmons (LOALifeCoach)summarizes the nature of vibrations and gives an example of how they work for manifesting desired outcomes. I can really relate to the water analogy. He’s a funny man. :)
