The Law of Attraction And My Experience
1st April 2008
This is a guest article by blogger, Meredith Pollock from:

I have only recently discovered the Law of Attraction (LOA) and had to learn from scratch on how to reprogram my thoughts, I was probably one of the most negative people you could come across and so as you can imagine one of the biggest skeptics of this whole LOA idea.
I purchased Gary Evans’ e-book “How to Manifest a Miracle” because in all truth I just wanted a miracle – I didn’t realize that I would have to put some “work” into it, that was until I read Gary’s book, and that was the changing point for me, it was a case of one Aha moment after another.
I realized sitting on my butt wasn’t going to get me anywhere, nothing was just going to fall into my lap, I had to make changes. I thought if I just thought positive thoughts then my whole life would change – boy was I wrong, just thinking positive thoughts will get you absolutely nowhere if you don’t experience the emotions that go with it. That was a difficult concept for me to grasp because initially I felt nothing due to life long depression I had suffered, I was totally numb and had no passion or desire for anything in life. But I took what I had learned in Gary’s book and applied it.
I did not want to start attracting wealth or a new car immediately but chose to focus on myself first, changing myself, learning to love myself, changing what I could change and accepting what I couldn’t change. Within the first week I felt a significant lift in my mood, I began to feel alive again, I started becoming interested in life again. Within a month my depression was gone, yes you read correctly, the depression is gone, there are still the odd days where I don’t feel the best but that is normal as it is not everyday, as I said it’s once in a while. It has only been about 3 months that I have been practicing this LOA and the changes are amazing.
But I have learned that you attract what you think about, so if you keep thinking you want something but in the back of your mind you are doubting it (that little voice that keeps saying “Yeah right like that’s gonna happen”) and you start to believe that little voice, well then you aren’t going to attract what you want but instead what you don’t want.
If you want to do something but tell yourself “I can’t do it” well then you have just defeated yourself, when that little voice comes into your thoughts saying you can’t do it, tell yourself “Yes I can and will” and you’re on your way. I believe that the Higher Power wants us to have money and to be happy, we just have to be open and follow what is put in front of us. So just put your order out to the Universe and watch and be patient as it unfolds.
One of the most important concepts for you to know and believe to create the life that you want is that there is absolutely no lack of abundance of the things that you desire, so many people think that they there is only X amount for every person and this is usually the case with money. There is so much negativity attached to the desire for more money that it is ridiculous. There is no more reason to be sorry for wanting money than to be sorry for wanting oxygen. You wouldn’t stop breathing for a while because you felt guilty for taking in more air than you should.
The truth is, that the only reason you don’t have more money, better health, or a loving relationship is because you either don’t really want them, you don’t believe you deserve them, or you aren’t allowing them in because you don’t believe they’re on their way to you. Tune your frequency to the abundance channel and your desires will come to you.
Remember we don’t need to know “how” things happen that’s not part of our job to manifest, we just need to focus on our desires and believe.
“If you’re looking for the key to the universe, I’ve got some good news and bad news. The bad news: there’s no key to the Universe. The good news: it was never locked.”
- Swami Beyondananda
I would like to take this time to thank Gary for giving me this opportunity to write this article for the Good To Feel Good blog space, it was an absolute honour and to thank each and everyone who has taken the time to read my two cents worth.

Hey Meredith!
I think that point you made about abundance of opportunities is one of the things that I battle with for some time.
But after I got clear about it, I started to attract things, people and events from here, there and EVERYWHERE!
It is very true when Bob Proctor said something to the effect of, “It will come to you in leaps and bounds that you wouldn’t know what to do with it”
I’m hopping over to your blog now!

Hi Meredith,
It’s fantastic to read about your changes and your discovery of LoA!
Isn’t it awesome how life can be something soooo different only with a slight change of feelings?
Thanks for sharing your experience. Keep it up!
