Question Time
29th October 2008
I’ve been overwhelmed with the response for my latest Law of Attraction report and want to send a sincere thank you to everyone who has downloaded the report and also a massive thank you to those who left me comments and questions!
You guys rock and I sincerely hope you can put what I shared to good use. If you do, I feel confident that your life will just get better and better. Mine is and I’m grateful that you’re a part of it.
If you haven’t got your copy of my report yet, you can download it for free here.
Some of the questions that were posted earlier on are excellent and I’ve done my best to answer most of them below.
Your report is heavily based around the Abraham Hicks teaching, yet there is no mention to them.
I have been influenced a lot by many teachers, including Abraham Hicks. What I’ve tried to share in my report is what works for me and what I see working for others too. I often give credit to Abraham in a lot of my work and regular visitors to my blog will know that I like to share Abraham’s message as much as possible.
For whatever reason, it did not feel right for me to include mention to Abraham Hicks in this particular report. Maybe it is because I anticipated that this would be a viral report and that a lot of people who may read it won’t be as open to channeled messages as I am.
I highly recommend the Abraham Hicks material and if you’re not familiar with their work, you can visit them at http://www.abraham-hicks.com.
I don’t understand how visualizing what I want will not always bring it into manifestation. Can you explain?
One of the points I made in my report was how visualizing your desire simply because you want it, will actually hinder your success and prevent you from experiencing the manifestation.
The message I’m trying to convey is that if you visualize your desires for the sole purpose of manifestation - the feeling emotions you’re sending out are similar to “I don’t have this yet, so I will visualize to get it“.
When you do this, the vibration that is sent to the universe is counter productive to actually having your desire. It is preventing you from experiencing what you want, since you are still focusing and giving your attention to the lack of having it.
The Law of Attraction responds to your vibration and if your vibration is “I don’t have this thing that I want” then that’s what you’re going to get.
The way around this is to visualize your desire for the sheer pleasure of doing so. Visualize it because it makes you feel good. Visualize it because it makes you feel wonderful to do so, and enjoy the feelings you get from doing so.
When your attention is on feeling good and feeling excited about your desire, you’re more in alignment with whatever it is you want and so the manifestation is just around the corner. Maintain those good feelings and you will see what you want show up.
I’m still trying to understand this visualization stuff. Should I do it, or shouldn’t I do it?
Visualization is one of my personal favorite techniques that I can use to make me feel good. I use it to help me feel good about my desires.
If visualizing your desire as if it has already manifested, makes you feel good – then it is a awesome process for you to do. Just remember, visualization is only a tool to help you feel good. You don’t need to constantly think about your desire over and over again in order for it to manifest. If you can feel good about anything at all, and maintain those feel good vibrations, then your desire will show up even without you having to think about it for a second time.
I work as a healer and often I have clients come to me with their problems. By giving my attention to their problems, am I sending out negative vibrations?
It’s possible. You’ll always know whether you’re sending out negative vibrations or not by listening to the way you feel. If you feel good, then you’re sending positive vibrations. If you feel bad, then you’re sending negative vibrations.
Some people do have the ability to listen to others problems without getting emotionally attached to the story, and so they can maintain their own positive vibration easily. If it makes you feel good to be that sympathetic ear to your clients, then I would say you’re still sending positive vibrations… just make sure you don’t get too attached to their problems.
In my own experience, I get a lot of desperate emails from people who are struggling with money issues, health problems or relationship issues… with these emails I ensure that I do not get emotionally involved with their story as I’ve found that the more involved I get, the worse it makes me feel, so I prefer to keep a distance which ensures that my vibration remains happy.
In my opinion, the best teacher is one who can teach by example. And so the best way to help someone you care about is by being the example for them to aspire to.
When I think about money, it makes me think about the lack of money that I have. If I focus on something else that doesn’t make me feel so bad, will it help me manifest more money?
Absolutely. You’ve understood this concept well.
When you’re feeling good about anything at all, in those moments you’re in alignment with everything that you consider to be good. As you do something that makes you laugh, smile or feel warm and fuzzy inside, then you’re attracting more money into your life, better health and everything else that you’ve been wanting.
This concept may sound so simple – but how many people do you know who actually do feel good all of the time? From my observations, there are very few who have ever practiced this or tried it.

Hey Gery,
Thank you very much for taking your time and explaining the question I had.
Best wishes,
Hi Gary,
Your report has simplified a lot of things, perhaps too simply now. You left out the spiritual side of the equation, I feel. All manifestation is wasted, if it is not serving you spiritually, and growing you spiritually, rather than concentrating on manifesting only.
We as soul, are far greater than just our thoughts, so why limit ourselves to being these thoughts, and so trying to manifest anything, by just using our thinking in this way. The whole aim of creation, is to grow as soul spiritually, and to become conscious of love, rather than seeing it as an unconscious force.
Love only becomes real by giving it, understanding it, and increasing in our awareness of it, not by trying to use it, to manifest our lower world wants. These wants only ever will serve to delay our true journey, and in truth we lack nothing, so never need to want, or to manifest anything else. All is provided, and appears to us on our path, when we are ready to receive it.
That said though, I appreciated your idea of the red light and the green light approach to becoming more aware of our own thoughts, and feelings.
regards,
Steve
Thank you so much ,dear Gary for your great work and your generosity. I really appreciate it.
Dear Gary:
I have been enjoying your podcasts so much, they are plain spoken and so easy to understand and easy for me to follow your instructions. When I saw your free download on the Law of Attraction, I knew it would be meaningful to me. For the first time, I understand what people are talking about when the term “vibration” is used. I have been on a wonderful journey for the past 2 years, learning more and more about recognizing and releasing my negative thoughts and emotions and allowing my Higher Power to guide me in life. Your talks and writings have reinforced for me what I have already been doing and helped me get clear on areas I still need to change.
Thank you for sharing yourself and your learnings.
Lynne
Hi Gary. Thank you so much for writing this report for us. You have made a lot of good points and simplified things very well. I especially like your points about the importance of feeling good (something Abrham Hicks also says, I really enjoy their teachings too); and also your point about not visualising with the intention of manifesting something/getting something. Its very profound and I think its a mistake many of us (including myself) make. Visualising for the pure pleasure of experiencing something (in your mind) or feeling better, is a great point and one I will keep in mind. I think its similar to the idea that everything is happening NOW, its not in the future, its here now (Robert Anthony says this too). Now I understand more why he says it. Thank you again.
I appreciate your report. It has enabled me to simplify my understanding of the Law of Attraction and so has made it easier to have more teachings drawn into my life. This simple approach also has made it easy to suggest to my friends and family, who I am sure have drawn my suggestions into their life.
Steve Marshall earlier I think may have misspoke earlier when he stated that you may have missed the mark. I believe that many times we are so concerned with our “lower world wants” that it so consumes our minds and bodies. This simple approach to manifesting a better life includes not only physical objects and items, but also better health and relationships. Ultimately, I believe that our “souls” or Inner Beings also search for a pure Inner Happiness; this simple method to manifestation may start with a cup of coffee, progress to a large savings account and a new car, but will finally move towards our Inner Being’s true desire of Inner Peace, Happiness, Loving and Gratitude.
And to that, I gratefully state my appreciation for your presence in my life. Thank you.
I really liked the analogy of the red and green light. That makes so much sense to me! Thank you for taking the time to share this report with us. I sent the link to my daughter and she loves it too. She sent it to her friends….a really viral report.
Thanks again
Sharron
Hi, Gary!
I have to agree that you put everything I’ve ever learned about LOA into simple terms that make the process easy to explain to others. I’ve been trying to get my mother to understand the concept for a while now, and after reading her excerpts of your report she seemed to have a clearer picture of the concept.
I, too, had a few “aha” moments and enjoyed seeing LOA through your perspective. Way to go on sharing the wealth and being of service to others. The more we help others, the more we help ourselves.
I am happy that I manifested you into my life. Thank you and know that you are deeply appreciated.
Manifesting is different from creating, in that manifesting includes an attached wanting. Wanting and desire is usually only an ego response to imagining that what it wants, will and cannot be provided, or is not being provided right now. The soul learns through being itself, and itself is all that it needs to be. Living as itself, love manifests in the soul, and love is all that the spiritual side needs to sustain it.
That said though, not many of us are masters as yet, and can live solely from love, and so there is some cause for allowing the lower bodies to go through the learning process of manifesting things, until they reach a level of only living entirely from love.
I valued all that Gary had to say, and it led me to Esther Hicks site, which also is very enlightening.
regards, and love to you all, Steve
Hi Gary,
I must compliment you on an excellent report. You’ve summarised the teachings of Esther & Terry Hicks as well as the writings of many other authors into a simple easy to read, easy to understand format. Congratulations!
I have many books on the LOA written by a variety of different authors, all very good and informative in their own right but all seem to overlook one thing and that is simplicity! Simplicity is one essence of good style especially when it comes to writing instructional material. Unfortunately many self help authors tend to forget this. As a result I think many fail to get the message across to the uninitiated.
You’ve achieved in a nutshell what many authors fail to achieve in sometimes many hundreds of pages.Great stuff!
Keep up the good work. Looking forward to reading more of your gems!
Hi Gary
Thanks for the free download. Everything makes a lot of sense especially the “vibration”, which I more often refer to as “frequency”. About a week before I received your email, I decided to market your product from the clickbank forum ( How to Manifest a Miracle) as an affiliate. I don’t know whether I received the free download as a result of the clickbank sign up?
Just like you, I have a keen interest in the workings of the Universe and the power of quantam science etc and that is the reason why I choose to market products with a similar topic, because I believe this information needs to reach as many people as quickly as possible and how else but with the Internet! I just find it moving slowly. I don’t have the tools or lists to hit a mass market, just using google adwords etc. Is there any help, apart from your standard banners etc that you can give me to get your product to the masses and to manifest the abundance for us both
??
Best Regards
William
Hi Gary… THANK you! thank you! thank you! are there enough exclamation marks to “show” you how thankful I am? yes!..
Question: I work in a dept where, for the last 8 years some of us staff have not been given the recognition (in titles and monetary value) like we should have.. We’ve had meetings upon meetings with Senior Management but nothing… Since I have become aware of the Secret I have been trying to practice its principles.. As you know this is an ongoing learning phase. I have been doing this job, not just for the monetary value, but simply for the enjoy ment of the work that I do, and believe that I (and we) will be recognized some day… This year a task team including myself was established to tackle this problem again… in our meeting two months ago, I told all 22 incl myself that we are going to get what is rightfully ours. I tried to explain not to think what you don’t have yet, but to rather visualise yourself in that position.. Doing it, enjoying it, making it work… however, the staff are very negative as this has been going on for 8 years and people have lost their trust in management… please tell me how can I assit and uplift them all to start visualising/entertaining their ‘new’ positions, enjoying it, and making it work in order for them to attract it to them and myself?
Hi Gary
This all looks great but how is it different to what others are offering and doing for example Tony Robbins and NLP etc..
Thanks
Steve
Persnally, I would like to hear stories of the LOA put into practice and the results experienced. I think it would be a great support system. Also if the work seemed to fail, then why? It would be good for us all to learn of how others used the practice and succeeded or failed and why or how?
Thanks
Good for you for doing it for free!…

Hi Gary thank you very much for your free reports on the law of attraction I really appreciate it it has help me out alot and has helped me renew my mind Thank you Great Big Harvey
I have already download your report on Law of Attraction which
I found very useful I will try to menifiest my own desires. Once
Iwill success I would like to help others in the same way.
Hi Gary,
This is excellent stuff. I am fascinated by the law of attraction and the power of intention. Have you thought about how they relate to food? The idea that putting an intention into the food we eat can shift how that food impacts our well-being? I recently learned about Intentional Chocolate and it is an amazing (and delicious) example of this…
Check it out, if you haven’t already heard of it: http://www.intentionalchocolate.com/
Blessings,
~Michelle
Hi Gary
I liked your report.
I think it’s really wise to say ‘LET GO’. That was a really timely message for me because as a marketer who uses L.O.A I sometimes get attached to what I am creating.
Love also your emphasis on ‘feelings’ as a barometer. There is a great new movie that talks about this alot: The Wheel of Life…. http://www.wheeloflife.tv
Anyway, I am on your email list, so keep me posted with what your up to.
Warmest wishes
John

Hi Gary,
First of all THANK YOU for being so generous with your time, knowledge, experience and for breaking down the distinctions of LOA in a digestable way!
I wanted to ask you something about the use of the word “selfish” that I’m having trouble with. I understand the concept of raising your vibrational energy by feeling good, doing things that bring you joy, and using your feelings as a measurment of what frequency you’re sending out. Where I get stuck (and hesitate to share this work with others) is the idea that it requires that you be “selfish”, and let me say why. The definition of “selfish” is:
“Concerned excessively or exclusively with oneself: seeking or concentrating on one’s own advantage, pleasure or well-being withour regard for others 2: arising from concern with one’s own interest or advantage in disregard of others”
Where I take issue, and think perhaps this may not be the correct word, is that it is being concerned with one’s self “WITHOUT REGARD FOR OTHERS” and “IN DISREGARD FOR OTHERS”.
While I think I understand, and agree with what it is you’re trying to teach, I believe that there’s a danger in sending out the message that in order for us to be happy, fulfilled and have what we want in life, that we need to disregard others and always put ourselves first. Perhaps there’s another word that could be used that implys the POSITIVE aspects of caring for oneself, without the NEGATIVE connotations of “selfish” that imply with total disregard for the well-being of others, which is not what I think you’re wanting to say, nor do I believe that’s the way to have a world filled with love and harmony. I do share your belief that living by example is the way to do it, but I also know that we must also care for others in the world, not just ourselves, and I wonder that the word selfish is misleading.
I would so welcome your thoughts on this, as it’s the one area that’s made it challenging for me to share with others.
Thank you again for all of your insight into these distinctions. I look forward to hearing from you.
Warm blessings,
Susan
dear gary,
i am very inspired by your story.it’s great to see a young achiever in you. thank you for your valuable insights. continue doing what you do, the world needs you.
with gratitude,
christine (philippines)
Hi Gary: You’re a great teacher I “resonate with”.
Thanks for all you do! I have a comment in line with Susan’s above re “selfishness”. I would love to get your thoughts and those of others on this. You are correct that it is best not to allow the sufferings of other’s drag own our spirits into negativity, but I think there is a spiritual danger to remaining warm, fuzzy and happy when a human brother or sister is suffering in some circumstances–the circumstances of suffering that the Source allows in order that we experience contrast. Dimensions of love are compassion and empathy.
I believe there are experiences in life, such as the death of a loved one, that God/Source/Spirit allows us to suffer in order that we may become more in alignment with the Source of all love and goodness, all that we need, all that we want and all that we love. It is fact that we are in the human condition, and as such we will experience suffering in this life. The trick is to respect it and learn from it and avoid feelings of self-pity. Honesty is accepting it feeling it and moving on. I do not believe it is loving to remove ourselves from those who need comfort and healing by staying in our zone of warm and fuzzy. Being down because I have not manifested my diamond necklace is different than being down because I am suffering the loss of a loved one or experiencing the loss from a natural disaster, and things such as this. Source is love to an extent our minds cannot conceive–and such a love as this does not go twittering around feeling warm and fuzzy when a brother or sister is suffering. I believe there is a way to share this experience without allowing it to bring us into negativity. Indeed,, when we allow our hearts to share in the suffering of another, compassion and empathy go forth from us and it is these that we shall attract. If we shake the dust off of us and go merrily away past a suffering soul, this too shall we receive when we are suffering. I see a great danger in pretending we are at the end of the journey instead of celebrating the journey. Much of life we are in the zone between what we have and what we want–we can be happy there without losing compassion for others.
I have seen LOA practicers skip away from people who are going thru a hardship, to me this reduces us rather than bringing us closer to Source. This is to treat a brother or sister as a problem “ooo–negative energy, let me go away from this”—and to treat someone this way has more negative energy than the one who is suffering is giving off. Compassion and empathy are part of love and sometimes that requires us to let go of our own good feelings for a time and cry with another soul. It’s all about Truth, and the contrast is here that we experience it, not deny it, for in crying with another, in feeling their pain, we know the difference and our capacity for gratitude and love is increased. thank you.
Gary,
I’m 60. All i want to say is:
“When I grow up, I wanna be like you! You Rock!”
W/love,

Hey Gary
First…THANK YOU! I’ve recently downloaded your Law of Attraction report. I’m busy implementing all I’ve learnt even as I’m writing this.
Question: You say one needs to be selfish enough to NOT listen to other people’s problems. Where I live we’re constantly approached by homeless people asking for money/food/help, but at the same time bombarding us with the stories of poverty, their problems, their dire situations. My instinct is always to ‘not’ listen and in the past I’ve always felt guilty about my attitude.
How do you suggest we deal with these situations? Do we always just give? Do we take a moment to listen? Do we give and be on our way as soon as possible? Does saying no to these people send the wrong message to the Universe?
Any help or advice on this subject would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Gary.
Thank you for your report. You write in a clear and easy to understand manner. I have a question. I am looking to manifest a new job( new source of income), but do not have any specifics. What I mean is, I don’t know what type of position or in what industry. I believe that the universe knows what is best and will provide. What would you suggest I do to feel like I have already received?
Thank you,
Elizabeth
