Not so long ago I made a post on here about a really bad weekend I was having (see Light at the End of the Tunnel). Thankfully, I have some good online and offline friends who were able to help me in a time of need.
As I wrote that post it got me thinking about how my life has really changed in the last couple of years.
One important lesson I’ve learnt is that in order for you to succeed in anything you want to succeed in, you need to surround yourself with people who are already successful and living what you want to live.
That’s certainly been true for me and has helped me massively in my business and spiritual life.
When I first started out my online business I was very quick to associate and spend time on forums. It took me a while but I eventually realized that the people I mainly am speaking to on the forums are people in the same situation as me… trying to make a successful online business.
It’s the same with the Law of Attraction and my spiritual life. I would join discussion groups and forums where people who wanted to be successful with the Law of Attraction were discussing it. I, of course, was chiming in also.
These forums and discussion groups are not a bad place and I’m certain that there ARE successful people contributing to them. But the majority of the people who use them are those who are seeking success and have not found it yet.
When I finally realized that, I stopped hanging out in forums and started to only associate with those who I considered successful.
I got myself a business coach who had been there and done that.
I would only read blog posts from other successful online business owners.
I spent less time on the forums and more time working on my own business.
Thanks to the Internet, it’s never been easier to connect with those who are successful using things like blogs and other mediums. My advice is to only to give your attention to a select few that really resonate with you, otherwise you’ll quickly become overloaded.
Now that I own a growing, successful online business, I can confidently assure you that spending time with those who’ve achieved what you want to achieve will be monumental in your own growth.
This applies to all areas of your life and not just business and spirituality.
