While I agree with music affecting your moods and how you feel, I believe that which music does what is subjective.
Most pop music makes me agitated and angry, while there is a lot of heavy (supposedly negative) music that makes me feel better.
Sometimes sad songs bring me peace and alleviate loneliness by letting me know I'm not the only one feeling that way, where a happy song would only annoy and frustrate.
In a nutshell, it's all relative.

Hey, you,

You already know so much about me that I guess you could easily know whether I'll comment on your article or not beforehand, right? Yeah... that's because I'm shy and silent.. ha.

Just let me add that I stop by every time you write a new article. I've become one of your fans.

Hi Patricia - As a musician yourself, I had a feeling you might stop by! :) I love Madonna's music too!

A little conscious awareness here and there goes a long way in shifting our overall vibration.

Hi Kathy - That's great that you were able to notice the music was taking your energy. I know some people like that, who literally suck your energy away! Not something I enjoy being exposed to.

A few years ago, on live365.com I discovered a radio station that talked about satanism, and played bizarre meditation music. The talk was educational & interesting, but the music felt like something was sucking my energy. Can't imagine that it was uplifting for anyone.

Yes, Gary, I completely agree with you!!!

Whenever I feel down, and I want to feel better ;), the music I tend to put on is Madonna. After dancing a little in front (or not) of the mirror, nearly every pain disappears.

But it's amazing how sometimes you feel down and you go for songs like "Everybody Hurts" by REM or Sidnead O'Connor.

Making these options a conscious thing, thanks to your article, can make a huge difference.

Good vibes,
Patricia
