How Much Do You Want It?
9th April 2008
I was recently reminded by a good friend of mine about the actions one can take to help solidify beliefs.
Think about this for a moment… let’s say you want to manifest a holiday abroad…
If you’re going on holiday, what are the action steps required in order to make this a reality? Here’s a fictitious list:
- Research best flights and prices
- Book time off work
- Buy sun block
- Get a book on the location
- Organize a baby sitter
- Exchange some spending money
If you want to manifest your holiday then you absolutely must get into alignment with your desire. There’s two ways to do this, either feel good about anything at all, or get yourself to a place where you believe your desire will happen.
By NOT doing the tasks on the list above, you’re actually telling yourself that you do not believe you’ll experience the holiday. Whether you can afford the holiday or not, that’s not the issue.
Why else wouldn’t you do the tasks on the list above unless you didn’t completely believe that you were going on that vacation?
You may recall from the DVD “The Secret” that one of the teachers recommends you should visit a car lot if your desire is for a new car. Get behind the wheel of that dream car so that you can experience the feelings of having it.
What better way is there to get into alignment with your desires than to actually do the action steps required that lead up the manifestation!?
By doing those steps you’ll very quickly eliminate any seeds of doubt you may be carrying about experiencing it.
Go on and make your list of action steps whilst the universe yields you the “how” it will happen.
A friend of mine, Lee Ann from notesfromlalaland.com is doing just that. She is already taking the action steps required in order for her to begin living her dream life in Kona, Hawaii. She believes shes already there and her website reflects this.
I encourage you to have a think about this today and work out what you can do today to start believing your desires are already here.

This is powerful stuff, Gary. Recently I applied for some funding to visit Poland, which I REALLY want to do. I’m realizing now that I didn’t do everything I could have to align my mindset with actually making that trip. Now I have several items to add to my list when I reapply!
Gary,
Excellent advice and reminder!!
As Maria, I also have items to add to my list :))))
Hi Maria & Patricia,
Thanks for stopping by
Yes, you’re not alone. It was a wake up call for me as well since I’ve been planning a visit to Costa Rica but realized when writing this post that I still had some action steps to go!
My book on good places to go has just arrived though!
Wishing you both much abundance,
Gary
Hey Gary,
What an excellent bit of info, so I guess I will be going to sit in and check out some new cars this weekend LOL, and what the heck while I’m at it I may as well get a travel magazine or book at the same time.
Thanks for yet another awesome posting.
Meredith
Hi Meredith,
Yep, you’ve got the right idea! Enjoy those good feelings.
Gary
This reminds me of when I was younger. Whenever I had a goal, I would go to my Dad and he would say:
“Figure out all the steps it takes to make that happen, then let me know. If there are any items on that list that it is impossible for you to do, then we’ll work together to see what it takes to make them possible.”
That set a great foundation that’s continued through the rest of my life. There is no “if,” just “when” and “how.”

Your friend Lee Ann’s mindset reminded me of the Seinfeld show when the character, Kramer, decided he was moving to California and he kept saying “In my mind, I’m already there.” Guess that’s the real way to go!
Absolutely Jan!
It’s one way of getting into alignment with your desires real fast.
