Getting Rich with the Law of Attraction

5th September 2007

I was reading one of my blogs that I frequent often and I came across an interesting post about money and conjuring up energy around money. I think the post holds very valid reasons and I’d like to share my thoughts on the situation here.

The gist of the post was about focusing on what you want instead of money. If you want a new car, a new home, expensive meals out, a different lifestyle, etc - then spend your time visualizing those things instead of visualizing money.

Trying to visualize and create powerful energy around money is usually a difficult task.

It reminded me of one of the things that Bob Proctor said in the film “The Secret”. He said something along the lines of… “It doesn’t matter whether you want more debt or not, if you’re thinking debt then you’re going to get more of it”. When I first heard those words I was a bit taken back because in the past, I had been visualizing “getting out of debt” and being “debt free”. Its a rare occasion when I would disagree with Bob, but this time I really do!

In my experience, if I am thinking about being debt free and focusing on the feelings of being debt free, then having the word “debt” lingering there makes no odds to me at all. I’m feeling debt free which has a totally different meaning to me. And a totally different vibration from being in debt - I’ve had some terrific results with this, so I really think they may have missed something.

There’s plenty of conflicting messages out there, here’s another from different “guru’s” about the word “want”. If you “want” something then some say that you cannot have it. They say that “wanting” is the lack of it. However, in a different context the word “want” can be perfectly fine. Let’s say you walk past a jewelery shop and you spot a necklace or an object that you like and in that moment you say “oooohh! I really want that!” - Is that a negative statement? Are you feeling lack in that moment? Personally - I don’t think so.

The point I am making is, your words do affect what you think, but remember it isn’t your words that have manifesting power it is your feelings. If you are feeling good and putting out good feeling vibrations then I don’t think it matters what words you used to help you get there! As long as you get to that point, that is the main thing.

What do you think? I know I’ve got examples of how I used so called “negative” phrases yet the thing I visualized showed up! Hit the comments button below to share your opinion.

    Hi Gary,

I agree with you in that there seems to be a lot of conflicting messages on the Law of Attraction. I think it’s always a good idea to take what you hear from the Guru’s and reflect on it to see if what they are saying rings true for you. We all think and feel differently about different things and what works for one person may not work for quite the same way for someone else. The key is to find out what methods works for you…go with it, and discard the rest if you need to regardless of what the experts say. Your right, it’s more about the feelings and vibrations we emit rather than the actual thought itself. There is an important lesson to be learned from your post.

    Hey Eric,

I think you’ve hit the nail on the head. Its the feelings that really matter! What a wonderful world we live in… feel good as much as possible and everything you regard as good is hurling its way towards you!

Have fun playing, and thank you for your comment!

    Gary
