Eckhart Tolle in Living Luminaries
24th April 2008
The first time I watched the movie, Living Luminaries, was the first time that I truly took notice of Eckhart Tolle. The 4 minute video below was the start of my awakening. It was my first sample from the nectar of conscious presence.

When Eckhart Tolle says, it appears as simply listen and feeling together with him. After, when I remain with myself, it isn’t so simply, so clearly so possible. The beautiful persist more… Maybe listen the coll of this feeling to live in Now? Can the NOW coll us?
Hi Margareta,
I’m having difficulty understanding what you mean. But I think what you’re saying is that its easier to become present with Eckhart (when listening to him) than it is when you’re on your own.
This is very true and because Eckhart is speaking to us from a place of presence. Being exposed to that energy makes it easier for you and I to become present than if we are left on our own without the exposure to the energy.
That isn’t to say its not possible to become present without someone grounded in the now. It clearly is… but it can be helpful practicing becoming present when exposed to a grounded teacher like Eckhart.
I hope this was what you meant.

Thanks for sharing this video, Gary! It was a powerful 4 minutes! Instead of reflecting on the long list of things I want to accomplish on my day off from work, I am now admiring the maple tree coming into bloom outside my window, listening to the different birdsongs, watching the branches blow, and feeling enormous gratitude for this moment in my life. The day will progress from morning til evening, because that is nature. I will be more aware of enjoying each moment of this day, because I can!
…I enjoy your writings very much; thank you!
Namaste!
Kat
thanks for sharing - it’s good to feel good!
Dear Gary,
THANK YOU very much for this. It keeps surprising me the perfect timing of my readings. Today I had this feeling of worriness towards the future… related to money mostly… Yeah… I’m afraid I wasn’t yet able to stop thinking about it… and I see this post of yours, this magical video.
If life is not but now, and right now I’m well fed, in my warm flat, dressed and with my beloved son next to me, then my life is abundant. At this very moment that is when I’m living.
Heartful thanks, Gary. You made a difference in my day.
Oh, and I had NEVER seen Eckhart Tolle… though I keep receiving e-mails from that name, from an unknown source.
Much love,
Patricia
Hi Kat, that’s really beautiful! I’m very pleased that the video inspired you to take a step back from the long list of life. Thank you for posting your comments.
Hi Karlan, thanks for stopping by! It is good to feel good
Hi Patricia, It’s wonderful to see that you’re finding the right material that is right for you at the right times! We all clearly have much to be grateful for and appreciative for… sometimes the long list of life can get in the way. (You’re not alone!!)
Maybe you’d also enjoy the Eckhart and Oprah web event also? http://www.oprah.com/ondemand/
Thank you for stopping by. I wish you all a beautiful day in the present moment.
Gary
Thanks Gary!!
I’ll be checking that too. Another one I have never listened or read: Oprah.
I wonder HOW was it that I got to Aaron’s site in the first place…? Mmm, don’t remember. And after that there’s this whole huge universe of marvellous internet places which feed me daily with good advice, love and new opportunities.
Thanks for the link and thanks for the company.
Thanks Gary,
What a great video - I am a huge fan of Eckhart Tolle! I’ve read his books and am following the Web cast with Oprah. I find that just listening to him gives me such a huge sense of calm and a sense that everything will be okay.
Thanks again,
