My Subconscious Addiction

19th May 2008

Have you ever played an addictive game like Tetris or Solitare and found that when you close your eyes you are still playing the game in your mind?

Isn’t it funny how when you open your eyes, you have no knowledge that you’re still thinking about it, but the moment you close your eyes you’re seeing the images as if you’re still playing.

These images that are playing over and over again like a broken record player are the images that are in your subconscious mind.

Whatever you feed your conscious mind over and over again and then mix emotion with the thought, will be sent to the subconscious mind. According to Napoleon Hill, it is part of the subconscious mind that is talking to the universe which determines ultimately what you will attract using the Law of Attraction.

Personally, I’ve seen the correlation between what I think over and over again and what I get back from the universe. I’ve also seen that when I feel good about anything at all, I manifest joyous things.

When I was setting up my Law of Attraction membership site, Positivity Space, it took me about 1 full month of work getting the site setup and working how I wanted it to. I found myself spending between 6 – 12 hours every single day working on the site. It was my primary focus and it was incredibly enjoyable for me.

In this building stage, I began to notice that when I finally finished for the day and closed my eyes, the same phenomena would occur like when playing an addictive game…

I started to see the site in my minds eye. The idea of the site had been sent to my subconscious mind!

Every time I would close my eyes to go to sleep, I would see the site and new features being added just like I had been doing in the days work. As well as seeing the things I had already done to the site, new ideas and inspirations were coming to me as well.

This was a real achievement for me, because I knew in that moment that I was attracting success. My subconscious mind was constantly working on it, even whilst I stopped for lunch or dinner.

My conscious mind had no real knowledge of it. I wasn’t thinking about the site consciously, but noticed that my subconscious was.

The rest is history… Positivity Space is one of my greatest successes so far. When the site launched I had over 20 partners who were helping to promote the site (all of which were attracted to me) and we sold hundreds of trial memberships in the first couple of days.

It was beautiful to experience.

My level of commitment to the site whilst it was being built was similar to an addiction. I was addicted to working on the site and loved every minute of it. The success of the site was being created by my subconscious mind even before it launched.

So, my questions to you are…

  • Are you addicted to your desires?
  • Does your subconscious mind even know about them?
  • What can you do get them playing over and over again in your minds eye?
