How Do I Use The Law of Attraction?
6th March 2008
You’ve heard about the Law of Attraction, but you’re still having a hard time getting it to work for you? Changing your thoughts can appear a daunting task, but it is one that you must undergo if you truly desire change.
Here’s a question you should begin to ponder … Is my goals and desires worth the effort required in order to bring about the manifestation?
Changing your thoughts to focus upon positive aspects most of the time is a time consuming challenge and will require persistence and a real determination to change. It will be a lot of work, but it will not be hard work.
Personally, I think that a lot of people perceive it to be “hard” work and so they give up and go back to their mediocre lifestyles. Let’s put this into perspective, if feeling good and imagining your desires as if they are already here is hard work, then something has gone horribly wrong in your deciphering of what it is that you want.
This stuff shouldn’t be hard work at all! It should be the most fun work you’ve ever had. Dreaming and visualizing about how you want your life to be is a wonderful experience.
There are three major factors we need to take into consideration when designing our lifestyles:
Thoughts – What you hold in your mind on a continuous basis is crucial to what you’re going to see in your future. It is your words that help define the thoughts you hold and it is your thoughts that help define what you will feel. Unfortunately a lot of us have got a lot of negative conditioning and we are so used to thinking in a certain way, that it does appear daunting when change is proposed.
Your thoughts are quite easy to change though - you just need to start feeding your mind with some positive thoughts and positive words on a continuous basis. Your feelings will soon change after you’ve been exposed to some positive “good feeling” thoughts.
Emotions – Pay attention to your feelings! If you feel bad, you’re certainly not on the right track and need to get out of that feeling as soon as possible. Feeling good is your dominant proclivity and it is your birth right. The only reason you can ever feel bad is if you hold thoughts that do not allow well being in. Good feelings are natural to you. When you hold no thought at all, you feel wonderful because you are more connected to your true source which always feels good.
As you become more focussed on thinking positive, abundant and prosperous thoughts you will begin seeing your world around you change to adapt to your new perceptions. I invite you to practice feeling great for 7 days straight … I promise you that you won’t want to go back to your old way of thinking.
Ability to Act – In most cases, our manifestations will come about in inspired actions. You will be inspired to do something, or you will receive inspired thoughts about what you should do next. This can be invigorating and when the conceptions are received it can be one of the joyous moments you can ever experience.
You must act on these inspirations with speed. That does not mean drop everything you were doing and act right away, but still jot down your inspired action and look into it later on.
Remember, there is no shortage of anything that the universe can yield to you, including opportunity. Do not beat yourself up if you feel you’ve missed an opportunity or if something fell through when you really wanted it to happen. If you are in harmony with the universe then an abundance of opportunity will present itself and will keep presenting itself until you do act.

Creating a Comfortable Routine for Manifestation
17th December 2007
A routine is essential for getting yourself into a place of feeling good and manifestation. Without a routine you will be sporadic with your intention and will only apply your processes “now and then” which is not likely to have enough of an effect on your overall feeling.
For me and in my own personal experience having a routine has been invaluable. It has kept me accountable for consciously feeling good even when I’ve had some not so good days.
Your routine should be comfortable for you. It should not be a chore of any kind, it must be something that you look forward to and really want to do. No one else can choose what will be right for you, and so you are the best and only person to decide what is right for you.
I have created a morning and evening routine.
I spend 2 hours in the mornings and 2 hours in the evenings doing my processes. I also carry certain processes into my day time routine, however these are only refreshers to keep me in a place of feeling good.
Now you may be thinking, “I’ve got to give up 4 hours to feeling good every day?” No. Not at all. This is what I do because it makes me feel good. In fact if you could get into the habit of doing processes for just 30 minutes in the evening and 30 minutes in the morning then this could be just as powerful to you.
I love giving time to myself and I love making myself feel good and so I want to give as much time to myself to do it!
So the first step to ensuring that you will stick to your manifestation processes is to make a routine that you are comfortable with.
Next you need to pick out the processes that feel really good to you and ensure you stick to them on a daily basis. Remember, this should be a fun and exhilarating process for you, so if it feels like a chore or hard work, then it’s not something you should do. Here are some suggestions to help get you started;
Meditation
Gratitude Diary
Feel Good Statements
Vision Board

Creating a Manifestation Vision Board
14th December 2007
A powerful tool that was discussed in “The Secret” was the use of a vision board. If you are not familiar with this term, then it is my intention that by the time you’ve read this article you will be familiarized with the term and will also have a clearer ideas as to whether you want to create one or not.
There are lots of different names for this tool which all have the same meaning. You may have heard it being called by a different name such as a dream board or manifestation poster. Whatever the name given to it, it is a tool to help you manifest your desires.
So let’s discuss first off how you can make one.
The first step is to create a vision board and the easiest way in my opinion is to start by writing a list of what it is that you want.
If you don’t know what you do want, then make a list of what you don’t want. By knowing what you don’t want, you can easily see the polar opposite and turn it into a desire. For example:
I don’t want lot’s of bills >> becomes >> I desire endless streams of money
I don’t want to be without a relationship >> becomes >> I desire a fun, loving partner
I don’t want my old car anymore >> becomes >> I desire a brand new BMW
The next stage is to go to your favourite search engine and type in keywords that relate to your desire. On most search engines there is a function where you can search for images only, select this feature and display images related to your search term.
Carefully choose some images that appeal to you and make sure they are images that really give you great feelings when looking at them.
Once you have your images, print them off, cut them out and stick them onto your vision board. You could make your vision board from:
- A large white poster
- Use a pin board and pin all of your images to it
- Stick them directly onto your wall
Positioning is quite important now. You want your vision board to be close to you and in visual range as much as possible. If you work from home and spend 10 hours per day in your office then your office is the ideal place to put your vision board. Put it somewhere that you often look at.
Here are some examples:
- Behind your monitor
- Behind your telephone
- Close to your waste bin
- Next to your printer
I have my vision board right next to me and so when I am working in my office I turn my head about 30 degrees and there it is.
Now you have your vision board, how often should you look at it?
I spend 15 minutes in the morning and 15 minutes in the evening looking at and visualising the desires on my vision board.
This makes me feel great and often I am actually closing my eyes and taking the vision further than just staring at an image. I use the images to start my vision off and then I expand them to the depths of my desire.
Remember, the purpose of this is to feel good and so if you look at an image and it doesn’t feel good then replace it with one that does. It is a trial and error process but when done repetitively it can be very powerful. Your vision board should be an ongoing process for you and will never be complete as new desires will continue to emerge.
You should use your vision board as a “jogger” to remind you to visualize and also to help you recall feelings. It is not intended to be the ultimate tool that you must use to manifest. A lot of deliberate creators choose not to use vision boards and are just as successful. My advice is if it feels right for you - then create one. If you have doubts and you’re not that interested in it, then do not make one.
There are plenty of tools and processes available to you that could be more powerful to you than a vision board.
The key point to making a vision board is to help you create powerful emotions within you. It is those emotions and feelings that are doing the manifesting, not the picture on your vision board.

What You Resist, Persists
11th December 2007
Every time you see something unwanted and you give it your attention you are telling the most powerful law of the universe that you want more of it. The Law of Attraction doesn’t care if you want it or not, it simply responds to your thoughts and emotions that you emit.
If you are looking at something unwanted and shouting “no” at it, you will unwittingly attract more of it.
When you look at something and shout “yes” at it, you will attract more of it.
This tells us that you have to be careful about what you give your attention to. It is very easy to get focussed on something unwanted and to spend a lot of time thinking about it, visualizing it and focussing upon it. This is the worst thing you can do as it creates two devastating things;
Firstly, you will feel bad. When you feel bad you are not allowing the natural source energy to flow into your body. In this very moment you are creating more of the things you do not want including bad health. Your body and cells respond to your thoughts, so thinking and feeling bad has a very negative impact on your body.
The second thing that happens is that you are attracting and pulling more of what you do not want towards you by giving it your attention and focus.
The Law of Attraction never sleeps and it will constantly find ways in which to deliver the objects of your attention to you in the most appropriate manner.
Often it is the subconscious mind that is doing all of the attention and focussing for you as you’ve programmed your mind to think in a certain way for so long that it will continue to do so as a habit. This is why the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Those who are considered rich have a rich consciousness that is embedded within their subconscious mind and so that is what they are putting out to the universe on a continuous basis. They’ve practiced these types of thoughts over and over again so it is a deeply rooted belief that they are rich. The same is happening with a poor person. They’ve thought thoughts of lack and being without wealth for so long that their subconscious mind is now continuously putting out these same thoughts.
In Lighten Your Load, Peter Field states:
“The way you think
will determine the way you feel.
The way you feel
will determine the way you vibrate.
The way you vibrate
will determine what you ATTRACT.”
Remember, a belief is just a thought you’ve thought over and over. The obvious way to gain a success consciousness is to think the thoughts of success over and over again until they too become a belief. This can be harder than you may first imagine, it will require dedication and a commitment to yourself but it is not impossible.
After all, if this stuff was easy – wouldn’t everyone be a millionaire? You must decide if the effort required is worth the rewards.

Self Control & Decision Is Your Key To Change
7th December 2007
In order to change circumstances and events in your life, you must not only be prepared to change but you must change. People often think that they can manifest millions or attract a dream relationship without the drive to change in order to accept their new desires.
In my experience change is required to bring new and better things into your experience. If you are happy and content with what you’ve got then feel free to wallow in what you have already achieved. If you desire to have more then be prepared for change.
How many times have you got all fired up about something and then only to find that your enthusiasm has dissipated into the ether? How many times have you made a firm decision and really meant it and said:
“I’m going on a diet”
“I’m quitting smoking”
“I’m not going to eat that cake”
Only to find that a few days (or even a few hours) later, you’ve given in to your own self-control and have gone back to your comfortable routine that you’re used to! This happens to everyone and it’s only because you haven’t exercised your self-control muscles enough.
Everyone has the power to decide upon something and stick to it. Consider a different situation for a moment. You’re in a life or death situation and someone is ordering you to go on a diet, to quit smoking or to eat only healthy foods. Do you think you would do it then?
Of course you would! There are two elements that help you decide that “it’s okay to keep smoking” or “it’s okay, you can start exercising tomorrow”.
The first is self-talk. It can be quite easy to talk yourself out of something that you haven’t practised for very long. Your new decision has not really become a part of you yet and thus your self talk can go into overdrive and easily rationalize why you shouldn’t start the new habit just yet. When faced in our life or death situation, self talk has no place whatsoever. In fact you demand that it shuts it mouth as the situation is very serious to you and your will and emotion overtakes your self talk completely.
The second is lack of proper planning. Let’s say you make the decision that you’re going to start exercising on a regular basis. You say to yourself, I’m going to wake up early and go for a run every morning. The problem is, you’ve not planned this properly. What are you going to do when it rains? How long are you going to run for? Where are you going to run? Why are you running? What will you do when you don’t feel like running? If you plan every possible decision that your self talk will tempt you with, you’ll have an answer for everything and if you’re definite about your decision then you will follow through with it.
Next time you make a decision, ensure you plan properly and ensure you are definite about your decision. Ensure that failure is not an option.

Expecting the Best – and Getting It!
5th December 2007
When it comes to abundance and prosperity, expectations are vitally important. By studying the Law of Attraction we understand that we receive exactly what we expect in life. Why is this? How do expectations work with the Law of Attraction?
Your expectation of something is extremely powerful. Everyday you expect fresh running water, you expect transport, you expect your local store to stock an abundance of food. These types of expectations may be common to you, yet in other parts of the world they are not freely available! Your expectation plays a huge part in ensuring that you keep receiving these things.
If you have spent just a little time studying the Law of Attraction then you will know that it is your thoughts and emotions that contain manifesting power. This is because that is all the universe can hear, it doesn’t hear your words or speak our language – but it can interpret the vibration that comes from your thoughts and emotions.
Whatever you vibrate, more of it will be pulled into your reality. If you emit low vibrations like anger, fear, or powerlessness, you will attract experiences that match up to your vibrations. If you emit high vibrations like joy, love, and passion, you will again attract experiences that match up with your vibrations.
Expectation can be likened to a belief, yet it is stronger and more confirmed. A belief is a thought that you keep thinking. An expectation is a thought you keep thinking but also have strong belief that it will occur.
Below you’ll find some simple tips to help you learn to expect the best – and get it!
- First, you must choose to expect the best in every situation. Start to train your mind onto good thoughts only by developing a strong focus and thinking about things that make you happy. Don’t give your attention to anything unwanted. If you catch yourself thinking a thought unwanted, simply shake your head and let the thought dissipate or say out loud ‘switch’ to signify a change is required. Keep saying things like, “I know this is going to work out for the best,” or “I know I will turn this situation to my advantage somehow,” or “I expect the best and the best always comes to me!”
- Avoid negative talk like the plague. By “negative talk” I mean complaining, arguing, being miserable or feeling fearful and powerless – anything that drags down your emotions and contradicts your positive expectations. Limit the amount of time you spend with negative people. Some people are easy to complain with than others, do your best to avoid conversations with these people and spend more time feeling positive and spending your time with positive people.
- Phrase your statements in a positive way that is descriptive of what you want. It is quite easy to recognize what it is that we don’t want, the problem with this is that we have immediate access to that thought in our minds. Instead of using statements that are descriptive of what you don’t want, say what you do want! Instead of saying “This won’t be easy,” say, “I can handle this.” Instead of saying “Don’t slam that door,” say, “Close the door quietly”. Remember, the Law of Attraction doesn’t hear your words, it hears your vibrations. Whatever you give your attention to, you will attract more of.
- KNOW that your expectation will come true. You may wonder how to “know” when you really don’t know yet! If it hasn’t happened yet, how can you be sure it will? This type of knowing is based solely on faith. You must CHOOSE to know. It might take awhile to get comfortable with this, but once you do it becomes a lot easier. In order to really know, you’re going to have to completely banish doubt and disbelief from your mind. When they pop up, simply push them out of your mind and affirm again that you KNOW your expectation will happen. No exceptions. The only way to master this is through practice.
These four simple things can make a world of difference in your ability to attract what you want, and when the manifestations start to happen, you’ll be able to add them to your list of experiences to give you much more faith and confidence to your expectations – which will make them still more effective!

Is Contrast A Good Thing?
28th November 2007
Contrast is the same as showing differences or unlikeness. In our day to day experiences, contrast is something that we say we do not want.
When you live contrast, you are living something unwanted. But can contrast be good?
Without it, we wouldn’t get very far! We would all like the same things; everyone would like the same sports, the same foods, everyone would sing the same songs and there would be no platform for anyone to give birth to a new desire.
That type of a world doesn’t sound very exciting does it?
When you decided to come forth into this body, you knew prior to coming that you would have a platform to give birth to new desires and new ideas. And you do it every single day. When you see something you do not like, or do not want, in that moment you are giving birth to a new desire.
Contrast is what this life is all about. You live a little contrast, give birth to the new idea, get yourself into alignment with your new desire and experience the exhilaration and joy of getting into alignment and receiving your new desire. Then, in your new position, the process starts over again, you now have a new set of ideas and desires from where you now stand.
Let’s find an example, to help get this message across…
A teenager who’s been living with their parents for their entire life experiences so much contrast at home in the form of family arguments, lack of privacy and not enough space that they automatically give birth to the idea of: “I want to move out of home and into my own place”.
Let’s now imagine that this particular teenager has practiced deliberate creation and understands what his or her work is to do. So they spend time visualizing and idealizing their new home, they spend time visualizing how quiet it is without any arguments and how free they feel without the pressures of parents bearing down upon them. This is the most fun part for the teenager as it is in these moments where they get to shape and decide exactly what it is that they want – there is nothing more exhilarating!
Finally this teenager’s work has paid off and a friend invites them to stay at their place which is the perfect environment that they wanted. However, they now stand in a place of new contrast. They are starting to discover that they would like more money as the bills are much higher now than they previously were at home and that they now must spend their own money on food and essentials.
And so it goes on …. the new contrast that they experience gives birth to the new desires.
Contrast is a wonderful thing, yet far too often do we “put up” with certain circumstances and contrast when we have a choice and can easily find something better.
When was the last time you smelt something really bad? Did you stick around and keep smelling it? Or did that contrast make you want to eradicate that smell from your experience?
The same goes with food. Maybe you’ve eaten something that tasted really horrible. Did you keep chewing on it, or did you spit it out and find something else.
You react quickly to your senses such as smell and taste, yet in other circumstances like with money and relationships you tend to linger on and do nothing about them.
Make the decision, right now, that feeling good means something to you. Make the decision that feeling good is the most important aspect of your life and refuse to settle for anything that doesn’t bring you joy and happiness.

The Speed of Manifestation
3rd October 2007
When someone has just been introduced to the Law of Attraction one of the first questions they will have is, “how long does it take to work?”. Any good teacher will tell you that this is entirely dependent on you and how much expectancy you have of your desires becoming a reality.
It is always advisable that you start off by manifesting some small items to provide evidence that this invisible force does in fact exist and is most definitely yielding things to you.
Fact is, the Law of Attraction is constantly working and it will never cease to operate.
When I say you should start small and manifest smaller items, what I mean by this is set your intention to manifest something you have very little resistance to. Some good examples of this would be; car parking spaces, cups of coffee or seeing feathers.
The reason that these are good items to manifest is because you’ve had all of these brought to you before. You’ve had good car parking spaces before. You’ve had someone bring you a cup of coffee and you’ve been out and seen feathers lying around on the floor before.
The resistance factor is minimal. If you set your intention to receive a cup of coffee and you spend just a little time thinking about it. When someone who wouldn’t normally offer you a morning coffee, does offer you one – you can easily make the correlation that the Law of Attraction has been at work and has yielded that to you. These smaller manifestations are awesome for confidence building and you can never manifest enough of them!
In fact, I sometimes enjoy my smaller manifestations more than bigger or high-valued items.
Every morning I go for a walk in my local area. I’ve found a perfect route that I like to follow; there are plenty of flowers and lots of interesting things to see along the way. It’s fairly peaceful and very rarely do you see cars on my route.
However to get there I have to cross a busy road, and coming back I have to cross the same road again. Now every morning I put my manifesting muscles to good work and as I am walking towards this busy road I say to myself “I am going to cross this road without stopping, there will be no traffic in my way”. I also visualise myself walking across this road without a car insight. Previously I’ve had this happen on many busy roads where there has been a perfect gap in traffic so that I can cross without having to run or stop on the island in the middle – so my resistance to this happening is very low.
95% of the time, when I come to this “usually” busy road, there is always that perfect gap in traffic where I can just walk without stopping and cross the road successfully. I do this every morning, and every morning I am delighted with the results!
Although this manifestation may be considered to be a small manifestation, I get immense pleasure from it. It makes me feel more in charge and in control of what happens in my experience. It reconfirms that I am a deliberate creator and that I can manifest anything, no matter how big or small. It proves to me that the universe loves me and will yield anything I ask for.
The speed of this manifestation is literally within minutes of me thinking about it. You do not need to spend days in advance visualizing what you want. In fact the universe hears your desires without words or images; the universe hears your feelings (vibration) and yields to you exactly what you’ve been asking for with your vibration.
Just remember, the universe cannot yield to you something that you say you want, but do not feel like you have it. If you expect a miracle – you will manifest one.

The Law of Attraction Action
3rd October 2007
There are two types of action when using the Law of Attraction to manifest your dreams and desires. The first type of action is physical action and the second is non-physical action.
Physical Action
This type of action is what is most commonly used to get something that you want. Let’s say for example, you are out of milk and require some more. So you pop down to your local supermarket and pick up some more milk. This is physical action. You made a decision that the supermarket was the best place to buy your milk from, so you went cash in hand down there to buy some more.
Let’s look at another example. You have set yourself a goal of creating $100,000 by the end of the year. You’re currently only used to making $25,000 per year so this is quite a big jump. However you’ve heard from friends that it is all about taking action. But not just any kind of action – oh no! – You must take “massive” action!
So you go out and work yourself to the ground doing everything you can think of to make this money. Doors aren’t opening where you want them to, people aren’t helping you the way you would like and the money isn’t coming in as quick as you expected it!
The physical action is the action that you take in the physical world to receive dreams and desires. On its own, physical action is next to useless. However when combined with non-physical action it becomes inspired action.
Non-physical Action
This is the behind the scenes work that most do not realise needs to be done. This action is commonly referred to as mind-work. It’s the stuff you do to get into resonance with what you’ve been wanting.
Non-physical action is usually pretending, dreaming and thinking. Similar to physical action, if non-physical action is used on its own then it is entirely useless. You cannot sit in a cave and meditate all day and expect a bag of gold to fall out of the sky.
You can however use non-physical action to become so in harmony with your goals, dreams and desires that when you go out into the physical world you will be inspired to take physical action that will result in your desires becoming a reality.
Here are some examples of non-physical action:
• Meditating
• Visualising
• Appreciating
• Dreaming
Conclusion
Both types of action must be implemented in order to manifest your desires. I recommend that you start your manifestation process by doing both. Take the action in the world that you think is necessary and feels right for you to do, whilst also take non-physical action and dream your desires into being.
As you move along, you’ll begin to discover that the universe is always yielding to you new inspirations or ideas on how to move forward. This is the inspired action I mentioned earlier. Inspired action feels brilliant, it feels amazing and it feels right!
The only way of describing inspired action is; you will just know it’s the right thing to do.
Follow that instinctive reaction of wanting to follow the inspiration and go with the flow. Have as much fun as you can along the journey! Enjoy the experience and enjoy all of the action.
If something doesn’t feel like it’s the right thing to do, then do not do it. Your feelings are the best indication of whether you are moving towards something that will bring you more joy or not.
If it feels good then choose it!

Success Conscious
3rd October 2007
Do you have a success conscious or failure conscious?
First let’s briefly talk about the difference between the two. Someone with a success conscious is one who has prepared to receive. They expect the riches from life, and skim across life plucking only the very best life has to offer them.
Someone with a failure conscious never get to experience good things. They know they fail at everything they touch. They are Mr. Joe Bloggs, Fred Ordinary and Frank Plain. They don’t win the lottery, they don’t like their work and they don’t enjoy helping others.
I once heard a story about two farmers who were both desperately in need of rain for their crops. One of the farmers went and prepared his crops to receive rain, while the other farmer waited to see if it would rain before expelling any “unnecessary” effort preparing his crops.
Which farmer do you think received the rain?
If you prepare yourself to receive, then the universe will yield to you everything you could ever dream for. Already where you stand today you expect so many things that serve you and so you receive them.
You expect fresh, clean running water – and so you receive it.
You expect unlimited supplies of food – and so you receive it.
You expect transportation – and so you receive it.
You expect a means to create income – and so you receive it.
There are so many people and places on this planet who do not expect these basics. You and I can call them basics because we are so used to having them, where some parts of the world are not.
You can prepare yourself to receive success by first deciding on what it is you really want. What is it that makes your heart sing? What is it that would make you smile, dance and cheer with glee? Next prepare your fields to receive it.
What would the person who has already got this thing you are wanting behave like? What would they do different to how you are currently behaving?
Would they dress better?
Would they be more giving with money?
Would they smile all day long?
Would they not have a care in the world?
You must behave, act and become that person in order for you to receive your desires. The universe only yields to you that which you are in vibrational harmony with. That means that you must become a match to your desire. You must vibrate on a similar level to what you want and it is then that the universe yields it all to you.
