The Medium for Influencing the Subconscious Mind
Published in Chapter3: Autosuggestion

Autosuggestion is a method which all of us are using on a day-to-day basis without even realizing it. In today’s language we refer to it as affirmation or repeated statements. Whatever it is called is not important, but what is important is the knowledge of how to use autosuggestion so that it serves us.

The dominating and repetitive thoughts you continue to think in the conscious mind will eventually reach your subconscious mind through the unconscious activity of autosuggestion. This basically means that regardless of what thoughts you think, positive or negative, if you think a thought often enough it will end up at the subconscious mind.

NO THOUGHT, whether it be negative or positive, CAN ENTER THE SUBCONSCIOUS MIND WITHOUT THE AID OF THE PRINCIPLE OF AUTOSUGGESTION

That statement above is worth reading again. Nothing can enter your subconscious mind unless you let it through the use of your repetitive thought.

It is your 5 senses that have all of the power and control over the material which reaches your subconscious mind. And you have 100% total control over those 5 senses. In chapter 1, Napoleon detailed a clear practical method of attaining riches using a 6 step plan. The sixth step was to read your written plan aloud, twice a day and SEE, FEEL and BELIEVE yourself already in possession of your desire.

What he is already getting you to achieve is to use autosuggestion using your conscious mind to generate feelings that your 5 senses will generate and by reading the statement twice a day you’re pushing the conscious thought into the subconscious mind where non-physical action can take place.

Reading the words on there own will have no effect what-so-ever. Perhaps this could be the reason so many people fail when using positive affirmations in today’s society?

You MUST mix emotion, or feeling with your words to ensure that they successfully reach the subconscious mind.

This is a key insight when going through the manifestation process. No emotion will bring you no results. Mix emotion with your thoughts and you will experience divine miracles!

Creating Your Definite Plan Of Action
Published in Chapter3: Autosuggestion

In Chapter1, we discovered the 6 practical steps one should take when desiring riches. The 4th step was to create a definite plan of action that you will adhere to in order to carry out your desire. You must begin this plan at once, whether you feel ready or not.

A lot of people struggle with this because they don’t have a plan and find it very difficult to formulate a plan of action when they haven’t been able to formulate ideas prior to reading these guidelines. What Napoleon shares with us in the Chapter 3 is that you can DEMAND the plans to come to you through the use of autosuggestion. And then once you’re plans have come through as inspiration, act on them immediately!

Don’t just set an intention and then leave it as that for a couple of weeks, instead continually demand the plans to be given to you. Visualize your desired outcome in every moment that you can find. This stuff should be great fun and not a chore of any kind!

If following Napoleons guidelines was effortless and an easy task then everyone in the world would have everything they’ve ever desired. This stuff does require you to take action and you must be persistent but that doesn’t mean it has to be hard work or a tough challenge. Repetition and persistence of doing something that makes you feel brilliant should never be considered hard work - unfortunately we are so conditioned to think in a negative way, that if you think something is good then it’s probably bad and if you think it’s bad then you’re probably right.

In order to reach your desires it takes two things. First, that feeling good is so important to you that you decide that you will feel good over any circumstance that arises. And secondly you will have the persistence and a definite decision that your goal is worth all of the effort required. Something for nothing doesn’t exist.

One night when I was feeling very lazy and had retired to my bed for the night, I was laying awake thinking about an email that I had forgotten to write earlier on in the day. For whatever reason, I decided that I would do it. I made the decision but I was so tired that I really didn’t want to get out of bed. So I decided to put autosuggestion to the test and see if it really does work. I focused all of my attention on writing that email and getting out of bed having loads of energy! It took me about 3-4 minutes before it finally worked for me, and a feeling of exhilaration and WANTING to get out of bed and write that email filled my entire body!

I had transmuted a thought into its equivalent and my body was reacting to my subconscious and not my conscious mind. From being half asleep, to having extra energy and being fully awake only took me a couple of minutes.

I had demanded what I wanted of myself and my body responded accordingly. I’m sure you have experienced that feeling of not wanting to get out of bed before - It’s a powerful feeling and one that you can overcome if you’re willing to put in a few minutes of work.

Don’t let the insignificance of this story make you think that this same amount of effort won’t work with more important things. It most certainly will!

This experience really shook me up as to the power of the human mind. You really can, be, do and have anything - you just need to tune your mind to what it is you want and not the lack of it.

3 Step Process To Riches
Published in Chapter3: Autosuggestion

To complete our study of autosuggestion, I have quoted Napoleon on a three step process that summarizes the 6-step definite action plan laid out in chapter 1. He provides us with a brilliant example of how precisely to apply this knowledge.

Personally I find it difficult to find a better way of conveying his message, other than to convert the written statement into language that we use today.

The following is a success blueprint that should be acted upon with some urgency. Make sure you don’t waste this knowledge by not acting upon it!

First. Go into some quiet spot (preferably in bed at night) where you will not be disturbed or interrupted, close your eyes, and repeat aloud, (so you may hear your own words) the written statement of the amount of money you intend to accumulate, the time limit for its accumulation, and a description of the service or merchandise you intend to give in return for the money. As you carry out these instructions, SEE YOURSELF ALREADY IN POSSESSION OF THE MONEY.

For example :-Suppose that you intend to accumulate $50,000 by the first of January, five years hence, that you intend to give personal services in return for the money, in the Capacity of a salesman. Your written statement of your purpose should be similar to the following:

By the first day of January, 19.., I will have in my possession $50,000, which will come to me in various amounts from time to time during the interim.

In return for this money I will give the most efficient service of which I am capable, rendering the fullest possible quantity, and the best possible quality of service in the capacity of salesman of (describe the service or merchandise you intend to sell).

I believe that I will have this money in my possession. My faith is so strong that I can now see this money before my eyes. I can touch it with my hands. It is now awaiting transfer to me at the time, and in the proportion that I deliver the service I intend to render in return for it. I am awaiting a plan by which to accumulate this money, and I will follow that plan, when it is received.

Second. Repeat this program night and morning until you can see, (in your imagination) the money you intend to accumulate.

Third. Place a written copy of your statement where you can see it night and morning, and read it just before retiring, and upon arising until it has been memorized.

Remember, as you carry out these instructions, that you are applying the principle of auto-suggestion, for the purpose of giving orders to your subconscious mind. Remember, also, that your subconscious mind will act ONLY upon instructions which are emotionalized, and handed over to it with “feeling.” FAITH is the strongest, and most productive of the emotions. Follow the instructions given in the chapter on FAITH.

In these sentences, Napoleon demonstrates what pure genius he is! Start writing your own written statement RIGHT NOW, if you haven’t already done so.
