My Business Beliefs

30th June 2008

The last few days I’ve been spending a lot of time creating my vision for my business and have been having a lot of fun with it too.

Just recently I was asking myself questions about my beliefs around business. The results shocked me because I initially thought that I had good beliefs around business, but after 5 minutes of thinking about it, I realized that all of my beliefs around business weren’t of a positive nature at all!

Here’s my list of beliefs about business…

  • I believe business is difficult
  • I believe business is dog-eat-dog
  • I believe successful businesses have to be ruthless
  • I believe it takes time to make lots of profit
  • I believe you need time and money to make big $
  • I believe business shouldn’t be fun
  • I believe business requires lots of hard work and effort
  • I believe business is not spiritual
  • I believe business does no good for the world

Can you see the problem here?

Although I could understand that I would have some negative beliefs about business, what really stunned me was the fact that I didn’t come out with anything positive what-so-ever. I consider everything on that list to be a negative belief and something that doesn’t serve me.

Here’s where some of these beliefs have come from; TV shows, Dad, spiritual teachers, online forums & previous corporate experience.

Thank goodness I’ve got Aine’s Belief Buster Kit to help me overcome some of these!

The best way I’ve found to uncover what your beliefs about anything is to set a timer at 3 minutes and ask yourself the question “What are my beliefs about… ?”. And then fill in the blank.

Personally, I find that if you sit down for half and hour and really ponder all of the beliefs you have, you’ll find that your mind wanders between all sorts of things and actually prevents you from getting to the root cause.

Instead, answer the question quickly! That way, you won’t give your mind a chance to think about anything else.

*** Update ***

After writing this blog post, I listened to an autobiography by Duncan Bannatyne where he shared his story about how he decided to become a millionaire. Yes… he just decided it was so, and now he’s worth millions and millions of £’s.

Listening to his autobiography has really helped me with a couple of my own beliefs. I feel like I’ve clobbered a couple of them. I no longer feel that business is ruthless, difficult or shouldn’t be fun. If you share any of my beliefs above, I’d highly recommend you dive into a couple of autobiographies from self-made millionaires to help change your beliefs.

Dalai Lama Chant

21st June 2008

I’m not a massive “chant” fan. In fact, I don’t really like listening to chants at all… but there is one chant that I discovered a year or so ago which really does resonate with me.

I can remember going through a phase where I meditated listening to this chant for about 2 months straight. I found that this particular chant is a “feel good” chant and increases my vibration when I listen to it. Even now, when I listen to it, I noticeably feel better within just a few minutes.

Anything that can increase your vibration and make you feel good is awesome in my opinion, so today I want to share this free Dalai Lama chant with you.

This song of the Dalai Lama chanting his ancient mantra from the Rig Veda (Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra) was recorded by one of his disciples, with the Dalai Lama’s permission. At first he refused, but then he agreed, saying it must never be sold, it can only be given away.

Click here to download the chant in MP3. (27.5 MB)

MAHA MRITYUNJAYA MANTRA

Om Tryambhakam Yajamahe

Sugandhim Pushtivardhanam

Urvarukamiva Bandhanan

Mrityor Mukshiya Maamritat

Translation: I meditate on, and surrender myself to, the Divine Being who embodies the power of will, the power of knowledge, and the power of action. I pray to the Divine Being who manifests in the form of fragrance in the flower of life and is the eternal nourisher of the plant of life. Like a skilful gardener, may the Lord the Life disentangle me from the binding forces of my physical, psychological, and spiritual foes. May the Lord of Immortality residing within me free me from death, decay and sickness and unite me with immortality.

Explanation: This healing and nourishing mantra is, in a sense, “the heart of the Vedas”. The healing force awakened by this mantra sends forth its ripples from the body to psyche and from psyche to soul. It strengthens our powers of will, knowledge and action, thus unblocking the flow of enthusiasm, courage and determination. The vibration of this mantra awakens the internal healing force while attracting natural healing agents, creating an environment where the forces from both origins converge. This mantra connects us to the healer within and helps us receive the full nourishment from food, herbs, or any discipline undertaken for our total well-being. And so it IS!

3 Ways To Detach From An Outcome

19th June 2008

Beautiful Sunset

Removing your attachment to your desires is crucial to you achieving them. I’m not perfect and have had quite a bit of difficulty in letting go of some of my money related desires.

For example… As an online business owner, I’ve found that I can get way to attached to the amount of online sales I make every day. If sales are low, then I find myself feeling miserable and down about it. And equally, when sales are up, I feel happier about things. This is a perfect example of being too attached to the outcome of a desire.

Having that strong attachment is actually hindering my desire to create more sales, since I’m unable to release the need. Needing only creates more needing. Releasing it and letting it go leaves your vibration pure and positive, allowing your desires to flow freely to you.

The more I practice releasing, the more I’m getting better with detaching from my the outcome of my desires. Here are three ways that I’ve found to be helpful in letting go…

Change Your Focus – This sounds really simple, but it really works very well! When you take your attention away from your desires and put your attention on to something that pleases you, your vibration is going to immediately rise upwards. The best method I’ve found of changing your focus is to play a game where you find a thought that feels better.

Starting from whatever you may be feeling, make it your intention to find thoughts that make you feel better. It can be about your desire, or it can be about anything else. As long as you reach for thoughts that make you feel better, that’s the trick to this game.

In my DVD, Remaining Positive When Bad Stuff Happens, I talk you through this process of finding a thought that feels better by giving you a case study example.

Feel Good – If you’ve been reading my blog for any amount of time, then you should by now realize that I emphasize a lot on feeling good. Why? Because feeling good is glorious! When you feel good, good things are attracted to you. It is that simple.

When you feel good, the attachment to the desire softens up and allows you to move your attention elsewhere. That’s exactly what you want if you find yourself clinging onto your desire with both hands.

Lighten up a little and feel good for the purpose of feeling good. Go and meditate or take a walk in the woods. Read a good book if that makes you feel good. Do anything you can to feel good.

Feeling good is what my Manifest a Miracle system is all about. If you’re looking for a solution that can consistently help you to feel good and manifest your hearts desires, then you may like to have a look at what Manifest a Miracle can offer you. I’ve included 11 feel good processes so no matter where you are or what you’re doing, there will be a process that you can do to make you feel good, now.

Become Present – Becoming present should actually be described as a feel good processes, yet I’ve made it separate because it is quite different to the feel good processes that I talk about. Becoming present isn’t something I can describe in words, you have to experience it to know it.

When you become present and take your attention away from your thoughts, your vibration instantly increases and of course, your attention is no longer on your desires. Anyone can become present in any moment they choose. Most of us are so identified with thoughts that we never realize the power that the present moment can hold.

If you want to learn more about becoming present, you can signup for my newsletter Stillness Within.

So there you have it! Three ways that you can use right now to remove your attention from your desires, so that your vibration increases and allows the desire to materialize into your physical life.

Abraham Hicks Daily Quote (18-06-2008)

18th June 2008

Today’s Abraham quote really resonated with me, so I thought I’d share it with all of you too.

Achieving Success Is My Natural Birthright.

You are meant to succeed, and failure should feel bad to you. Life is supposed to go well for you — and when it does not, there is something wrong. But what is wrong is not something that is outside of you over which you have no control. What is wrong is within you — and you do have control. And taking control is not difficult to do once you understand the basis of who-you-are and the basics of the Law of Attraction and the value of your personal Emotional Guidance System.

Mind Reality

17th June 2008

One “secret” I’ve discovered to helping you become a deliberate creator is to ensure that you have your daily dose of feel good and also your daily dose of profound wisdom.

One of my friends, Dr. Tim Ong, has a book of positive phrases, suggestions and advice next to his bed so that its the first thing he reads in the morning. That helps him to start the day off feeling positive.

Personally, I like to meditate or do a feel good process because that helps me start my day off feeling great.

My point is, that deliberate creators all have ways in which they can get there daily dose of “feel good” and wisdom.

Here’s another way to describe this better…

If you’re running a bath and you want it to be nice and hot, you need to keep putting in hot water. The bath will not heat itself, it needs the input to be hot water. It’s the same with becoming a deliberate creator… you can’t watch TV programs all day that make you feel miserable and expect to manifest glorious experiences.

You need to continuously input positive things into your life. The more you do this, the easier your manifestations will be, since you’re already in alignment with them.

A friend of mine, Enoch Tan, has recently launched his own membership site which provides a consistent source of positive profound wisdom. I’ve just joined as a member myself, and am very impressed with the amount of content available. If you like written content, his site is perfect for you.

But what really took me back was how confident Enoch is about his website and the information he shares. I know for a fact, Enoch uses the same techniques he talks about every single day to create his own reality.

I did an interview with Enoch for my own membership site a while back, and I remember being very impressed with the profound stuff he came out with back then. He definitely gets my recommendation.

You can learn more about Enoch’s new membership site by visiting the link below.

Pushing Against - Creates More Of

16th June 2008

To reiterate a lesson from “The Secret”, the more you push against something unwanted, the more of it you will attract into your life.

Whatever you give your attention to, you attract more of.

Pushing against something unwanted, creates more of.

As was mentioned in “The Secret”, Mother Teresa understood this principle. She was quoted saying…

“I was once asked why I don’t participate in anti-war demonstrations. I said that I will never do that, but as soon as you have a pro-peace rally, I’ll be there.”

A few weeks ago, I discovered a wonderful YouTube video demonstrating this point perfectly. Click here to see that video.

It isn’t a hard concept to grasp, yet, I still see “spiritually enlightened” folks giving their attention to what they don’t want. A year ago, a young British girl, Madeleine McCann, went missing whilst on a holiday in Portugal.

I must have received about 5 non-personal emails from people forwarding me a message from the family asking to help find young Madeleine.

But the problem with these types of messages is that they are pushing against something they did not want. They didn’t want Madeleine to be missing, and because they were so fearful, they were sending messages left right and center.

The more publicity the situation got, the more negative energy was being created around this subject.

Can negative energy attract what you want? No.

Feeling negative and feeling fearful only attracts more situations that are in vibrational harmony with what you’re feeling. The fact that this missing girl situation got so much publicity meant that the collective consciousness was growing with more and more fear and worry.

As more and more people tuned into the news and forwarded emails trying to find her, the more unwanted feelings and unwanted energy was created.

A year later… Madeleine has not been found. It’s a perfect vibrational match.

So, what could help this situation? I believe that if you take your attention away from feeling sad about a missing girl, and focus on anything that makes you feel good, or focus on how happy the family will be when they are reunited, that will greatly shift your own personal energy and contribute some positive energy to mass-consciousness.

If there is to be peace in the world,
There must be peace in the nations.
If there is to be peace in the nations,
There must be peace in the cities.
If there is to be peace in the cities,
There must be peace between neighbors.
If there is to be peace between neighbors,
There must be peace in the home.
If there is to be peace in the home,
There must be peace in the heart.

Case Study of a Manifestation That Won’t Work

13th June 2008

You’ve just finished watching “The Secret” for the fifth time this month… and you’re excited about the Law of Attraction and what you can manifest!

“I’m going to give this stuff a really good go. I’m going to do everything I’ve learnt and practice it for one month straight.” you say.

So off you go and begin making a list of everything you want to manifest. It feels so good making this list that you can barely wait until it all manifests into your experience!

“Why didn’t I know this before?”

You then make the decision that you’re going to visualize your desires as much as possible. You’re going to meditate twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. You’re also going to visualize your desires whilst you’re at the office working.

To help with this, you’ve made a little affirmation … “I’m so happy now that money comes to me in increasing quantities through multiple sources on a continuous basis” … which you’ve written on a small card and put into your purse where you will see it often.

Right now, your vibration is sky high and although you don’t fully understand what a vibration is, you know you’re doing the right things. It just feels right, but you don’t understand why.

So, off you go on your day to day activities.

On day 1, you wake up and do your meditation. It feels good and you’re happy about everything, yet you’ve already notice that you didn’t feel the same as you did last night when you were making your list!

You say to yourself… “It doesn’t matter, I’m going to make this work even if it kills me! I’m going to do everything I know I should be doing to manifest stuff with the Law of Attraction. Millions of people are doing it, and so am I!”

You stick to your decision and do your visualizing whenever you remember to, and also meditate and do another visualization session in the evening.

Day 2 comes around and you’ve already skipped your morning meditation. One of the kids wasn’t feeling well this morning so you didn’t have time to do it. You stick to your visualization and meditation in the evening, but your enthusiasm for all of this has noticeably decreased.

By day 3, you’re asking questions like “so, how long does this stuff take?” … “I’ve been doing it for half a week now, and nothing has shown up. All I wanted to manifest was a few unexpected dollars!”

And as day 4 approaches, you’ve worked yourself into such a downer that you can no longer be bothered with meditation at all. You’ve been talking yourself into this miserable place all day yesterday because you haven’t seen any results yet. You’re not looking at your affirmation card in your purse anymore as its already become background noise. “Normal” life has resumed.

Maybe you’ve been in a similar position before?

Here’s where this manifestation went wrong…

  • Manifesting for the point of manifesting
  • Doing processes that weren’t in alignment with YOU
  • Asking “where’s my stuff?”
  • Giving your attention to unwanted circumstances

Manifesting for the point of manifesting – When you visualize or meditate for the sole intention of manifesting something you want, you’re including two things into your vibration. On the one hand, you’re feeling good about your manifestation and you’re enjoying seeing it in your minds eye (this of course is good), and on the other hand, you’re including the feelings of “I don’t have this yet, but I want to manifest it”.

The solution is very simple and very enjoyable. Visualize not to manifest, but to feel good. Visualize because thinking about your desire makes you feel good and not because you’re going to manifest it!

Doing processes that weren’t in alignment with YOU – Everyone is different… some people don’t enjoy meditating. Some people don’t like affirmations. By paying attention to your feelings, you should be able to determine whether something is right or not for you. When you think about the prospect of meditating every day, does it feel good, or not so good? Maybe you don’t feel anything? If it doesn’t feel good to you, then its not the right thing for you to do.

Maybe making a gratitude diary every morning would be a better process, or even producing a vision board. If you’re a painter, then paint your desires. If you’re a writer, write stories about your desires. Do what turns you on and makes you feel good, that is what will yield your desires.

Asking “where’s my stuff?” - Everyone at some point or another has done this. Me included. Whenever you ask where is your stuff, you immediately put yourself further apart from receiving it since you give your attention to not having it. Thinking about not having it, only creates more not having it.

Giving your attention to unwanted circumstances – When you give your attention to “real life”, you’re going to be giving your attention to things that please you and don’t please you. Your job is to focus your attention as much as possible on the things that do please you. By doing so, you’ll automatically become more aligned with your desires.

Follow your heart and follow your feelings. Make your decisions with your feelings and not with your mind. If it feels good, move towards it. If it feels bad, step away.

The reason I’ve written this case study post is because I’ve thought many of these thoughts before myself. I’ve been in positions where I felt I “needed” manifestations to happen, and they didn’t manifest. I’ve made tons of mistakes too and it took me a long time before I became any good at becoming a deliberate creator.

The above are just a few common problems myself and others have experienced along our journey. Hopefully you can relate to some of them and prevent them from happening again in your own manifestation journey.
