Happiness is a Journey, Not a Destination
31st March 2008
My friend la from notesfromlalaland.com forwarded this to me in an email recently and I just had to share it with you…

The Daffodil Principle
Several times my daughter had telephoned to say, “Mother, you must come
to see the daffodils before they are over.”
I wanted to go, but it was a two-hour drive from Laguna to Lake Arrowhead
“I will come next Tuesday”, I promised a little reluctantly on her third call.
Next Tuesday dawned cold and rainy. Still, I had promised, and reluctantly I
drove there. When I finally walked into Carolyn’s house I was welcomed by
the joyful sounds of happy children. I delightedly hugged and greeted my
grandchildren.
“Forget the daffodils, Carolyn! The road is invisible in these clouds and
fog, and there is nothing in the world except you and these children that I
want to see badly enough to drive another inch!”
My daughter smiled calmly and said, “We drive in this all the time, Mother.”
“Well, you won’t get me back on the road until it clears, and then I’m
heading for home!” I assured her.
“But first we’re going to see the daffodils. It’s just a few blocks,”
Carolyn said. “I’ll drive. I’m used to this.”
“Carolyn,” I said sternly, “Please turn around.”
“It’s all right, Mother, I promise. You will never forgive yourself if you miss this experience.”
After about twenty minutes, we turned onto a small gravel road and I saw a
small church. On the far side of the church, I saw a hand lettered sign with
an arrow that read, “Daffodil Garden.” We got out of the car, each took a
child’s hand, and I followed Carolyn down the path. Then, as we turned a
corner, I looked up and gasped. Before me lay the most glorious sight.
It looked as though someone had taken a great vat of gold and poured it over
the mountain peak and its surrounding slopes. The flowers were planted in
majestic, swirling patterns, great ribbons and swaths of deep orange, creamy
white, lemon yellow, salmon pink, and saffron and butter yellow. Each
different-colored variety was planted in large groups so that it swirled and
flowed like its own river with its own unique hue. There were five acres of
flowers.
“Who did this?” I asked Carolyn. “Just one woman,” Carolyn answered. “She
lives on the property. That’s her home.” Carolyn pointed to a well-kept
A-frame house, small and modestly sitting in the midst of all that glory. We
walked up to the house.
On the patio, we saw a poster:
“Answers to the Questions I Know You Are Asking”, was the headline.
The first answer was a simple one. “50,000 bulbs, it read.
The second answer was, “One at a time, by one woman. Two hands, two feet, and one brain.”
The third answer was, “Began in 1958.”
For me, that moment was a life-changing experience. I thought of this woman
whom I had never met, who, more than forty years before, had begun, one bulb
at a time, to bring her vision of beauty and joy to an obscure mountaintop.
Planting one bulb at a time, year after year, this unknown woman had forever
changed the world in which she lived. One day at a time, she had created
something of extraordinary magnificence, beauty, and inspiration. The
principle her daffodil garden taught is one of the greatest principles of celebration.
That is, learning to move toward our goals and desires one step at a
time–often just one baby-step at time–and learning to love the doing,
learning to use the accumulation of time. When we multiply tiny pieces of
time with small increments of daily effort, we too will find we can
accomplish magnificent things. We can change the world …
“It makes me sad in a way,” I admitted to Carolyn. “What might I have
accomplished if I had thought of a wonderful goal thirty-five or forty years
ago and had worked away at it ‘one bulb at a time’ through all those years?
Just think what I might have been able to achieve!”
My daughter summed up the message of the day in her usual direct way.
“Start tomorrow,” she said.
She was right. It’s so pointless to think of the lost hours of yesterdays.
The way to make learning a lesson of celebration instead of a cause for
regret is to only ask, “How can I put this to use today?”
Use the Daffodil Principle. Stop waiting…..
Until your car or home is paid off
Until you get a new car or home
Until your kids leave the house
Until you go back to school
Until you finish school
Until you clean the house
Until you organize the garage
Until you clean off your desk
Until you lose 10 lbs.
Until you gain 10 lbs.
Until you get married
Until you get a divorce
Until you have kids
Until the kids go to school
Until you retire
Until summer
Until spring
Until winter
Until fall
Until you die…
There is no better time than right now to be happy.
Happiness is a journey, not a destination.
So work like you don’t need money.
Love like you’ve never been hurt, and, Dance like no one’s watching.
Wishing you a beautiful, daffodil day!
Don’t be afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin.

Attracting Love with the Law of Attraction
30th March 2008
A question that comes up a lot of the time is how to use the Law of Attraction to attract your perfect mate into your life. A lot of people have already identified the perfect person that they want, whereas others are still searching for that special someone.
The Law of Attraction is more than capable of bringing you a love relationship, but only if you approach it in the right way.
For those of you who have set your targets onto a particular person, there is a high probability that you will not actually attract this specific person into your life. That’s not to say that you don’t have any chance at it, but from what I’ve seen the Law of Attraction is here to match things together. Even if you’re so infatuated with another person, if they’re not in alignment with you then the Law of Attraction will not put you both together.
When you’ve fallen head over heals for someone, hearing the information above doesn’t always sound too helpful to your situation. I’d like to point out, that because you have your attention heavily focussed on love and you’re most likely experiencing the feelings of love, you are actually more likely to attract your perfect mate! You’re in the perfect position to manifest a relationship and anything else for that matter. The love energy circulating throughout your body is a lot stronger than when you are not in love with someone. You can probably feel it! And when you’re energy is amp’d up you’re manifestations occur much quicker.
Regardless of whether you are interested in a specific person at present or you are still searching, here is a powerful technique you can use to bring about your perfect relationship.
First, work out what it is you don’t want. Grab a sheet of paper and make a list of all the things that you really don’t want in a relationship. Then once you’ve done this, write down the polar opposite of your unwanted thing. Congratulations, you’ve just worked out exactly what you want in your ideal relationship! (For more information on working out what it is that you want, please see one of my other articles: Identifying Your Dreams and Desires)
Next you’re going to spend time visualizing. Every time you enter your bathtub and have a nice soak, begin dreaming about your ideal relationship. Imagine walking hand in hand with your lover down the beach. Imagine dining out, taking walks, or talking lightheartedly until the sun comes up. The more involved you can get with this vision – the more energy you are hurling towards your desire and the quicker it will manifest.
See your thoughts like bubbles. Every time you think a thought it turns into a bubble and rises up into the air. This bubble can not be burst or broken. When you think a similar thought to another past thought, the bubbles are attracted to one another and link together to form one larger bubble. This is what is going on with your energy and your thoughts. Your thoughts have more power once you’ve given them your attention for just a little while.
Have fun attracting your perfect partner, and don’t forget to say thank you when he or she shows up unannounced!

Should You Remain Silent?
28th March 2008
Should you tell your partner, your friends and your co-workers about your spiritual beliefs?
When I first learned of the Law of Attraction, I kept insanely quiet about it and did not let on to any of my friends or family about it. I studied in silence as my inner-being was awaking to something that felt so right to me.
My immediate family do know about my spiritual beliefs and so do my closest friends, yet I don’t believe its always right to go out and tell anyone about your beliefs.
As humans we have a desire within us to share something that we believe to be “right” and “true”. What we are really seeking is validation. We want someone to agree with us and tell us we’re doing a great job and you’re on the right path. Of course, someone else’s opinion should mean nothing to you – what you think is the only opinion that counts.

Many people just aren’t ready to hear about spiritualism. There will come a time when it is a necessity, but right now the majority of people are still stuck in their habitual thinking patterns and overruled by ego.
My personal family are quite the same and are firmly rooted with their ego’s. The fact was and is, that they are just not ready for what us “Law of Attraction practitioners” know. (If you practice the LOA then I call you a practitioner.)
That’s not a bad thing, nor is it a good thing. It “just is”. I don’t try and change anyones beliefs unless they seek the change themselves.
Coming back to the point of this blog post… should you stay silent or should you let on about the spiritual side of you? I say follow your gut instinct in every instance. If you feel compelled to share and it feels right for you to do so, then do so! Even if the initial response you get is not what you were expecting, you’ve probably just planted a seed that will continue to grow for that person.
On the other hand, if it doesn’t feel right for you to say anything about it, then that is the right thing for you to do. I was like this with my family for a long period of time.
Eventually, I stepped up the courage and followed my gut instinct to share the film “The Secret” with my brother. He responded to the film just like I did when I first watched it and he felt a new awakening within. Although he hasn’t taken any action to further his development, the seeds have been planted. I’m certain that when things become too miserable for him to handle, he’ll turn to that side of him that was awoken for just a few minutes that day.
Pain and misery are responsible for so much conscious awakening that it can’t possibly be considered “bad”. Investigate all of the “gurus” and their pasts… you’ll very quickly realize that it is the pain and misery that pushed them to where they are today.

Million Dollar Idea with the Law of Attraction
26th March 2008
Anyone can provide value in one way or another! There are no two people exactly the same with the same skills and the same way of looking at things. You truly are a unique individual and that unique individuality is your greatest asset.
By using the Law of Attraction you can demand the actualization of your own million dollar idea and receive the plans with very little effort. A lot of people reading this article may feel that $1million is way out of reach and not within their comfort zone, whereas some may feel that $1million is nothing and a very little amount indeed.
To people like John D. Rockefeller, $1million really was not a lot of money and I doubt he would have considered that amount of money wealthy at all.
Your mindset around money will ultimately determine whether or not you will actualize the amount you desire, yet that is not what I want to share with you in this article. I want to help you to discover your $1million dollar idea so you can go out and work towards it.
Bear in mind that if you can provide $1,000 worth of value to 1000 people then you will have just created $1million dollars.
First off, make a list of everything that you know and have some interest in. Making money really isn’t a hard task, but you shouldn’t be making money doing something you do not enjoy – that’s the worst way to make money!
You may want to spend the next couple of days sporadically thinking about this list and when inspiration comes, you can add to it. Once you’ve got your list, you want to order it, by placing the most fun thing that you are interested in at the top and the least fun thing at the bottom.
Take the top 3 items from your list and meditate on them. By this I mean find a quiet, comfortable spot where you won’t be disturbed for at least 30 minutes, close your eyes and begin to quieten your mind. Let all thoughts just drift away without giving them your energy.
Then when you feel very relaxed and comfortable you can begin to think about those top 3 subjects. Think about how you can creatively use them to create money and begin to formulate ideas. These don’t have to be million dollar ideas, but just think about different ways in which you can monetize them.
Once 30 minutes has passed, say to yourself several times:
“I intend my million dollar idea to present itself to me”
And that’s it! Repeat the entire process (except for making a list) for the next 10 – 20 days and pay attention to what’s happening in your life. You shouldn’t be searching for a million dollar idea – your work is already done in the meditation, so just let the universal forces bring to you the “how”.
Remember, when you take score of where you are currently at, you are telling the Law of Attraction that you want more of the situation you’re currently in. Forget about taking score, just let whatever happens, happen.

Abraham-Hicks Quote 25-03-2008
25th March 2008
“Could I think too little about my desire, for it to manifest?” Actually, no, because as the contrast launches the desire, and then you do not offer any opposing thought, then you’re letting it in, and it will manifest. Many of our physical friends really believe that they must find a desire and then hold tenaciously to it. And we say, you do not need to do that. Let the variety of your life keep balance in your life. You just concentrate more on holding yourself in the good-feeling place where you’re letting it in.

How To Think And Act In A Certain Way To Get The Law Of Attraction To ‘Work’ For You
24th March 2008
This is a guest article from author, Mohamad Latiff from http://www.UltimateSecretsofSuccess.com/success
Your thoughts play an integral part in motivating and steering you towards a certain course of action or actions that can eventually lead you to manifest whatever it is you desire.
Therefore, it is essential to think in a certain way to get the Law of Attraction to ‘work’ for you.
When you think of something that you wish to manifest, do not expect it to materialise before you. Rather hold a mental image of it with most positive certainty that it is being made or on its way to you.
After you have formed that mental image in your thought, have unwavering faith that it is coming. Don’t think, speak of it in any other way except that you are very certain and confident it will arrive.
You must also claim it as though it is already yours and the key element is to ask for anything that you want in abundance.
Once you are clear about how to think in a certain way, constantly ask yourself the following questions to gear your mind towards this notion of thought:
1. When I think of something that I wish to manifest, how can I hold a mental image of it with most positive certainty and have unwavering faith that it is being made or on its way to me?
2. Why must I hold a mental image of it with most positive certainty and have unwavering faith that it is being made or on its way to you?
3. How can I speak of it in any a way that I am very certain and confident it will arrive and that I claim it as my own?
Now that you’ve understood the importance of thinking in a certain way, you are ready for the next integral part in the manifestation process.
To fully get the Law of Attraction to ‘work’ for you, you must follow your thoughts with personal actions.
You have not reached a stage whereby you can just think of whatever you want and just magically conjure it in front of you eyes.
And this is the very essence as to why you must supplement any of your thoughts with actions.
But how then do you take actions in a certain way?
You must take the necessary, result producing actions and go on to actually perform them.
You must act in certain way such that when you attract things or your desires, you will put them in the proper place through these actions. Your thought brings you what you want but your actions will enable you to receive what you want.
Whatever you action is to be, you must act in the NOW, not in the past and not in the future. You have to put your whole mind in present action.
Do not care about how terribly or badly you did yesterday’s work, or how to perform tomorrow’s task, rather concern yourself with how you can get today’s work/tasks done.
And most importantly, you must act upon the things and persons in your environment for your actions to be most effective.
Here are some questions you can ask yourself to act most effectively:
1. What are the best necessary, result producing actions I can take to get what I want?
2. Why are these the best necessary, result producing actions for me to take and get what I want?
3. What actions can I take to put the things or wealth that I want in the proper place after I have attracted them?
4. Why must I take these actions to put the things or wealth that I want in the proper place after I have attracted them?
5. How can I act in the NOW, not in the past or the future?
6. Why is it necessary for me to act in the NOW, not in the past or the future?
7. How can I avoid thinking about how terribly or badly I did yesterday’s work or how to perform tomorrow’s task?
8. How can I concern myself with how I can get today’s work/tasks done?
9. Why should I concern myself with how I can get today’s work/tasks done?
10. What steps can I take to act upon the things and persons in my environment?
And there you have it. My simple explanation on how you can think and act in a certain way to get the Law of Attraction to ‘work’ for you. The onus now lies on you to put into effect what you’ve just learnt and truly manifest whatever it is that you desire.
Have fun manifesting!

Can Bad Be Good?
22nd March 2008
Can you experience something that is good without first knowing what is bad?
Clarity is what a bad perceived situation gives you. Without having the knowledge that something is unwanted you could never know what you did want.
Think about this for a moment… if everything in the world was the color blue, would you know what others colors are? Would the word ‘blue’ exist?
When you observe something unwanted it is giving you the clarity to know what you do want. Bad can be considered good but only to the ego.
Your inner-being doesn’t recognize good and bad, it only recognizes “what is” and it perceives a problem as a situation. Nothing more and nothing less. When something good happens, its just a situation. When something bad happens, its just a situation.
Dealing with a situation instead of a crisis is far easier and much more sane.
Getting to a point where you perceive everything as “what is” isn’t difficult, but it will require repetitive effort. By giving your attention to this moment, now, you will be moving towards a different way of perceiving life events.
The ego loves to feed on your trauma and pain, therefore when you’re not grounded in this moment, right now, the ego has power to emerge whenever it wants and will feed by reacting to situations.
Don’t give away your power. Retain it for yourself. Become grounded by giving your undivided attention to whatever life will bring you. You’ll soon see that instead of pushing against life, it will begin to work with you. Allow whatever life experiences to come and embrace them, no matter what they may be.

A Secret Meditation for Law of Attraction Followers
21st March 2008
Looking to move to that all important next level? Are you seeking a method that can turbo charge your ability to manifest?
You’re in luck! By using my meditation you will undoubtedly manifest things more quickly and also experience more enjoyment when meditating.
Meditation is commonly mistaken for some mystic ritual or associated with monks and highly religious individuals. In my opinion, if you’re not meditating then you’re not connecting with your inner-being which means you will always have a partial detachment from the power that is natural to you.
When you focus your mind on something repetitive you automatically begin to quieten your mind which is the same as saying you are meditating. You reach a similar meditative state when you’re watching the television or listening to music. Your attention is in one place only and that is all meditation is. The difference is that when you purposely meditate, you are relieving your body and mind of many other constraints that it would normally be dealing with if you are watching television or listening to music. Once relieved of these, you can slip into a deeper state of concentration.
Find a comfortable area that you may sit quietly and will not be disturbed. It’s best to unplug the phone and turn off your mobile when you’re meditating to avoid all distractions. You can meditate in any position you like as long as your spine and head are kept straight in a vertical line.
Next, close your eyes and start to notice your breathing. Take a couple of deep, but slow, relaxing breaths in and out. Focus your mind on breathing and nothing else. When thoughts and images come into your mind (and they will) just release them and do not give them your attention, focus only on your breathing. Do this for about 5 minutes.
When you feel comfortable to begin, start to visualize what it is that you want. Is it a new home? A different lifestyle? Or a new relationship? Start to think and dream about what it is that you want.
Really get into the feelings of the visualization and enjoy the moment. Live it just for a few minutes whilst you’re in your meditative state. Think only about what it is that you want and pay no attention else where. For just a few moments, believe that what you are seeing in your mind is already yours.
Don’t worry if you don’t believe it at first, just keep practising the thought and visualization until it becomes a very familiar environment to you.
Once you’ve visualized all of your desires for about 20 to 25 minutes you can then gently bring yourself out of the meditation and feel good about yourself for completing masses of work in those 25 minutes!
Repeat this meditation for the rest of your life. No seriously, why wouldn’t you want to keep doing something that has two marvellous effects …
It brings you more joy and you’re moving yourself one step closer to your desires every time you do this meditation.
This meditation is one the most powerful manifestation techniques that I’ve ever come across. As simple as it may seem, the rewards that you will reap from doing it everyday are insurmountable.

My Personal Experience With The Sixth Sense
20th March 2008
In my last post on the final chapter of Think and Grow Rich, The Sixth Sense, I mentioned that I would share my own experiences of what happened when I’ve tried creating an imaginary meeting.
First of all, I have only practiced this whilst in meditation. I find it much easier to control my thoughts and place my attention on what I choose when I am meditation, so I’ve always chosen to hold a meeting when meditating.
The first thing I will do is form the room in my minds eye. Personally I have created a long table instead of a round table. The table is long enough to fit 4 people on either side and one person at the top and one person at the bottom.
I am sat at the top of the table and I split both sides into different categories. The left side of my table is for business related people. The right side is for friends and family.
Directly opposite me is someone with no face, I label him “X”. He has the same body as me, yet no face. I’ll get more to this “character” in a moment.
Just like if you were to order your friends in an order of importance to you, I have my closest friends and family sat closest to me, whereas the least closest are sat further away. This is the same with the business people also.
I use the meeting as a way to get answers and to ask advice. If I am faced with a problem that I feel needs working out, then instead of worrying about it, I take the question to my meeting table and ask whomever I wish to ask for the solution.
Sometimes I will mix up who gets invited to the table. There are times when a certain person’s opinion won’t be required and so they are not invited to join me. This is often the case If I have a personal problem that is not business related, then the business people have no place in the meeting.
Here’s an example of how it will go for me…
I’ll create the table and everyone will sit down. I then say hello to everyone and they will reply with whatever salutation they choose. I give them my thanks for being here with me and then proceed to explain why we are here and what problem I am presently facing.
Once I have given all of the relevant information, I will then choose who to speak.
Like Napoleon Hill, the answers I get are extremely accurate to that person’s character. Sometimes I am totally surprised at what they say and other times I feel that is exactly what they would say. The times when I’m most surprised is when I hear answers that come from their mouth yet the answer was not within my conscious mind, therefore eliminating any doubt whether this is a real meeting or not.
I’ve invited lots of people to my meetings before, including Napoleon Hill. Sometimes I will invite Abraham Hicks (Esther Hicks) to come along as I respect their advice greatly, other times I will invite Internet business people like Mike Filsaime, Frank Kern and John Reese. These are characters that I know of and admire.
Once I’ve received the answers and heard what they’ve got to say. At the very end I will consult “X”. Now remember from earlier… X has no face and this is where things can get a little weird.
X has the final say in the matter. After hearing everything that has been said, X will draw the conclusion on what is the appropriate action, if any.
I believe that X is a part of me. He is the spirit entity of me and to be honest with you, I’m not sure how I created X. One day X was there and has been forever more. I do feel a deep connection to X and he is most certainly a part of me, of that I am certain.
About this no face business, I don’t know. Maybe it means it’s the ego-less me who is making the decision which is why I see him without a face. I’m not sure.
All I do know is that these imaginary meetings have helped me IMMENSELY in the past and have helped me to make excellent decisions both in my professional and personal life.
Whether they are real or imaginary, that’s for you to decide. I believe that the entities in the meeting and their responses are in fact genuine. I believe that energy is never destroyed and therefore their characters and energies can still be called upon by focusing your attention upon it.
It’s an amazing experience and its not as weird as you may think it will be.

The Little Tree of Life
19th March 2008
Today I received my first ever Bonsai tree which I’m so excited about. It’s a Serissa Bonsai which is also called “tree of a thousand stars” because of the way it buds.
The reason I purchased it was because I wanted a little more nature in my life.
As an online business owner, I tend to spend a lot of time by the computer. I do take regular walks and make sure I get my dose of nature, but the more I understand the teachings of Eckhart Tolle, the more time I want to spend appreciating nature and being still with it.
Noticing the stillness within a plant, flower or tree can really help you to become present in the moment. I’ve noticed that a lot when I walk through a forest.
So getting a bonsai tree is my way of being closer to nature whilst I’m still working on my business. Here’s a pic…
